    Quick summary from here.
    Me 32 hubby 35. Me, one tube only, fully blocked. Ectopic pg in 2008, lost other tube with internal bleeding etc, regular cycles etc. Husband 100% fine
    Started TTC 2002, 6 IVF cycles all negative, immune testing shows MTHFR which has serious implications for conceiving, now taking meds to combat this ready for round 7 in Jan/Feb.

    Arrived back from hols 3am this morning after having a couple of extra days in Egypt because of the airports closed here. Nice!

    I was hoping to come back to a flurry of BFPs but I see none. Boo!

    Well done Gin on having your transfer and one little embie. I hope it all goes well and I will have my fingers crossed for you. The 2ww is the worst but have lots of rest and positive thoughts. I read that book you gave me on holiday and could totally understand all of it, however in parts I was crying - good job I had my sunglasses on.

    Good luck to everyone else and welcome any newbies to the board.

    Thank you! The book - I read it on my last trip home, and I was crying in the plane reading it and then in the train. I didn't have my sunglasses on, but I was happy I had some tissues with me!

    2ww - I have plenty planned for next week. I have friends coming over for the weekend, and will need to clean the house before hand. I also have 2 projects at work that I need to finish in that 2ww (I am on holiday afterwards for the rest of the year). The house is a mess at the moment, and we don't even have space to put people to sleep, as two of the rooms are upside down (one is being redecorated by me, it is 10 weeks already, the other has the floor up, as the plumber was putting new as pipe for the boiler and haven't finished yet), and the third one (official guest room) is now a storage room for all the stuff we had in the other two rooms plus the airing cupboard!

    I just hope that the plumber can wrap it all up on Monday - he already spent 4 days here!

    The waiting is tough, isn't it? 2ww from hell!

    ++++++++

    OK - most annoying things pg people do to rub my nose into it (unintentionally, I'm sure..):

    -Ostentatiously rubbing their bumps in meetings at work
    -Wearing 'Baby on Board'/ 'I love my bump' t-shirts
    -Signing Christmas cards 'From Gary + Lisa + Bump'
    -Moaning about it

    And the most annoying thing fertiles do is discussing what month they next plan to conceive in either to avoid a 'Christmas baby' or an August birth because of the school year - and then doing it..

    ++++++++++

    CD22. I'm in the 6 day wait now - doing to CD21 Progesterone blood test at the hospital today.

    Have a good day everyone!

    Gin - congratulations on being PUPO! (I like that :rotfl:) I'm glad the ET went well.

    Welcome Staffiecat, you're consultant does sound a bit dodgy, can you change? I'm sure you'll get some help and support from the knowledgable ladies on this thread anyway - I'm not one of the knowledgable ones but I'm learning!

    Hang on in there Chickpea, we've not got long to go now! :whistle:

    My story:

    I'm 30, DH is 39 - TTC#1 for 16 months. SA good, hormone levels normal, cycles regular, bmi normal and I seem to ov every cycle (according to cbfm) but still no bfp! I'm currently in the 2ww and waiting to see whether AF visits this month before going back to the Doctor. I've realised that I have short and sometimes light AF visits compared to others (but no less painful!) so would like to get that checked out next.

    First day back at work - groan!

    One of my close friends has just emailed me to tell me that she is 9 weeks pregnant, she was really nice about it as she knows what I have been through. I am upset but happy for her, she is the last one out of my little group of close friends that had no children. I want to run off and cry but can't. We are all going out for dinner on Saturday so that is going to be hard but I know she is not the sort of person who will go on about it.

    Life is so unfair.

    Juju, sorry to hear that. It's so hard. I've sen my bestie once since she announced she was PG (she's 21 weeks now) and it was awkward. Having said that, it was only awkward really because of the falling out we had.

    Theres nothing we can say that will make you feel better about it, but we all understand how you feel. Hugs x

    Hi ladies, is it OK for me to join you in here? I’ve lurked for a bit but have just built myself up to posting.

    I’m 26 and so is my husband. TTC nearly 3 years with not a glimmer of a BFP HSG was inconclusive (tubes appeared to be blocked/draining slowly but it was very painful) doctor sent me for lap and dye which showed no blockages in tubes but lots of cysts on ovaries. Hormone levels all normal in spite of cysts so they say cysts have no affect on my fertility. DH had 2 SAs, first showed low motility second showed very low motility and we were told chances of natural conception very low, not impossible but highly improbable. We were referred for ICSI.

    We started the ICSI treatment at the end of October and it seemed to be going well but after getting 9 eggs at EC only 7 were suitable for ICSI, only 4 fertilised and of those only 1 got to 8 cell which was replaced. Possibly one of the worst moments of my life was waking up 4 days before my official testing date after dreaming of bleeding to find that my subconscious had picked up on what was actually happening. It was all over, I didn’t even make it to test day in fact I only made it to 7 days post transfer (as I was booked for a 11dpt blood test) which made me feel completely useless and hopeless.

    We’re booked in for a follow up appointment to discuss our failed cycle in late January but at my test (which they still have to do bleeding or not) the doctor said he couldn’t see why it hadn’t worked as everything had been perfect, it was just bad luck and one of those things. At our follow up I’m going to try get official numbers for DH’s SA as I believe they said the issue was just motility and count and morphology were fine but I’m not 100% on that. I don’t really know what else to take from it though.

    Our PCT only offer one fresh cycle and we didn’t have any frosties (frozen transfer is free) so we’re done and back to natural TTC. We’re going to take supplements and are thinking of getting a CBFM as my cycles can be erratic and also so we could abstain up to it being “peak” in the hope that gave DH’s swimmers a chance to build up. We are going to save for more tx I think but we’re not certain as it’s a lot of money for such a slim hope. I don’t know though.

    Anyway sorry for babbling on for so long about me! I hope I can get to know you ladies a bit better and that we all get our BFPs.
