Chakani my friend has text me today to tell me she is pregnant (13 weeks). She text me before they made the announcement on FB as she knows I had a miscarriage in December and she didn't want me to find out that way which was very thoughtful of her.

Didn't stop me sobbing like a baby for ages afterwards though :o

This hasn't helped as it was my due date on Saturday and we are no closer to seeing a second line. I don't know how much longer I can carry on like this month after month the endless cycle of trying and then the disapointment that comes at the end of each cycle :(

Thankyou all for taking the time to respond to me, you are all so kind.

I think I will tell her quietly, as I know they are planning their next cycle during the school holidays, and don't want her to find out while they are waiting to see if it's worked. I take what a lot of you are saying about needing to take a bit of time to yourself to have a cry or whatever, I think I would feel that way too, so I think I will just phone her and let her know, and then give her some time to herself. I'm really hoping we will both have our babies this time next year and everyone will be happy.

Lots of baby-dust to you all, I really hope to see you all on the PG thread really soon xxx

SK - Hiya sorry you have had to join us and hope your not here long, glad to hear your cd3 tests came back ok and hope hubbys swimmers test come back ok, does he take any vitamins at the moment as my OH first test came back not too great, not really bad but he now takes zinc, selenium, b12 and b6 and the last test it had improved a lot. I did read the test results can change from month to month though.

    Hi Nic,

Yes, DH is talking wellman vitamins as of last month (funny what the threat of a sperm test will do isn't it? lol) They include all the vit's you've mentioned. I know you can get wellman conception vitamins, but haven't been able to put my hands on any yet. Will keep looking.

Sorry you're IVF isn't going well. Fingers crossed for a better cycle next time honey.

CD2 for me and i'm waiting for the Soya Isoflavones that I ordered to drop through the letterbox after reading the link that someone else posted on here. 77% of women falling PG on the first go is good enough odds for me!

Will let you know how it goes....

We both are now on Pregnacare Conception his+her. I think I bought mine in Boots on 3 for 2 offer. They were pricey, as each packs covers one month's supply (£17.99 per pack!!!!!), but decided to give it a try and see if it helps, especially as we might be embarking on IVF soon...

We take that too. There's maca (natural Viagra) included in mens which DH is happy about:p

Anybody had any experiences of using Soy Isoflavones instead of Clomid?
Seems I missed this post first time round.
I've started taking them this cycle, and will let you know how it goes:)

I've taken them at CD3-7, so I should ov at CD13-17 if all goes well.
I'm on CD13, CBFM (Clearblue Fertility monitor - opk) is 'High' for the second day, and am waiting for 'Peak'.

No side effects so far, but I heard one could get really strong ov pains so am dreading it:(

My last cycle was 54 days with ov at around CD40. Any earlier will be greatly appreciated:)

Oooo what's this never heard of it before!!!, I really hope it's lucky for you where did you buy yours from.

Well the cycle is cancelled I had 4 follicles at the scan today and we came to the decision to cancel. The nurse said we can go ahead or we can give it another shot she will double my dose and she believes I will have a much better chance of producing more eggs around 8-10. I already knew at the back of my mind that's what we would go with so even though I am gutted I am also ok with it if that makes sense. It's also better for the control freak in me in that next time I will know what is happeing lol,
I asked about IUI but I have too many follies for that  I am not allowed to BD either no matter how tempting it is I could end up with quads  but I dont have a long wait I just have to have a bleed from this then I start from my next proper period :j

Good luck living with your parents:) You should tell them about your hormones, and say you are not responsible for your actions:D They'll understand.

Well they managed me through my teens, I reckon we'll be ok...
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

Sorry about your cycle being cancelled :hugs: Does that count as one of your cycles or will they go again and count that as one try? In our trust, we can have 1 full treatment of IVF, 3 of IUI and up to a total of 6 IUI, clomid (or similar) and donor insemination.

I bought the Soya Isoflavones from a website called natures best. Figured anything was worth a try, as until we get all our test results back (not till the beginning of July) we won't be offered any help. The time is flying by but of course we're keen to secure that elusive BFP sooner rather than later!

No BD!!! :wagsfinger: or we'll all be offering to buy a baby off you! :rotfl: (hope that didn't offend anyone!)

    Hi All,

I got my soya isoflavones from Simply Supplements ( simplysupplements.co.uk ) £6.29 for 120 of the 400mg ones. I used to be taking 150mg of Clomid, so will be taking 300 mg (1 and a half tablets ) on days 2 to 6. I've worked out thats 16 months supply for £6.29! :j Theres also a few discount codes for this website lurking around. Got other 'arf some Horny Goat weed at the same time.. lol

Theres loads of positive info about them if you google "soy isoflavones fertility". Seen as I've been one of those desperate people thats considered buying clomid off the internet before I'm hoping this is a safer alternative, especially as Clomid has (sort of) worked for me before. I don't ovulate at all without Clomid so will soon be able to tell if the SI's are working. At least it's lifted my mood having something new to try.

Hope it works for someone anyway! Lots of love xx
