Hi all - hope you've had a lovely extended weekend...
I was hoping for your opinions on this: the one at a time website recommended from the HFEA website. Now obviously, they know what they want to convince you, so you need to bear in mind that it's in propaganda speak, but I'm interested to her what you think.
OH and I were a little disappointed when the consultant told us we would most likely have a SET (single embryo transfer) and I've started doing the reading so we can decide if we want to push for multiple embryos. For me, the interesting thing is that the website says that in Sweden (blooming Sweden - can't someone else be a trailblazer for once?) they've reduced the rate of having twins significantly by electing SET for young healthy potential parents, but the pregnancy rate hasn't really dropped. My main concern was that I might end up with no babies because we only put one in, but if that's not the case, then am I just being greedy to want to put 2 in? It would be so nice to have a complete family and not have to do all this again unless we choose to. On reading the risks though I'm not convinced that they're that high. They talk about twice as high than with singletons this, or 3 times as high than with singletons that, but if the chances are really low at this condition or that disease anyway then do we need to be concerned?
Anyways, I know it's a lot of reading, but if you have the time and the interest I'd appreciate your input.
ta,
jibbs.
I would go for 2 as well for the same reasons. If you have 2 put back in there is a chance that only one will take anyway. I only had one put back in last time as thats all I had. There are higher risks by having twins but I would risk them if it increased my chances of conceiving.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM

Hi all
I have finally got round to buying a CBFM :j I got one off of ebay with 80 test sticks so should keep me going for a bit! I am not sure if it will help as I think a lot of my problems are down to scar tissue from previous ops but it gives me something to focus on and will hopefully give me a bit clearer idea of my fertile days as my periods are a bit erratic to say the least!
Day 1 today so first month with my lovely new CBFM
I was meant to be starting three more months of Clomid but I read in the instructions that this interferes with the CBFM so I thought it might be best to hold onto my prescription for a bit
Jibbs - I would go with two aswell
Quaver - When I had the HSG/HCG (cant remember now which one its called! ) I was really worried but it didn't hurt at all so I guess its different depending on the person and their individual circumstances
Legacy - Thats really interesting - after months on Clomid this sounds a good alternative - am off to google further info!
Hope everyone is ok!

I really love the sunny weather. mmmmmm.
I'm waiting for the nurses at the clinic to call me back and they haven't! They did on Tuesday, then said they'd find out the answer and ring me back and they haven't. And now it's Thursday. I'm hoping they'll let me know if I need to take the pill to start my period so I can go for it with the IVF. Or if they will just want me to wait for it to arrive au naturel. So I'm all of a dither.
But good news, we've had an offer on our house. Not quite what we were after, but close. So we're still in negotiations. It's only a grand or two less than we want, but that's half a baby in my book, and we're holding out for the moment. Very scary.
You never know, in a year I could have a new house and a family to fill it. Things are moving a bit, and it's very exciting!Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o

Glad your house sale is looking promising, I hope it works out as you hope.
Am getting excited about your IVF, have my fingers crossed for you.

People use it with clomid, they say it gives you more high days, but peak as normal.Day 1 today so first month with my lovely new CBFM

Jiblets, your new life seems so close!
Fingers crossed for your house & IVF:j0 -
jiblets - it is a very exciting news all around!!! I know what you mean about those few thousand pounds = half a baby... It is as it is...
I am 'on track' with my weight loss for Tuesday's scan, so I hope I can have the nurse to confirm that I met what is required for referral. I need to get another 0.5g off, but I still have a few days to go. I have managed my first 25min run last night, so I am very happy. I am aiming to do 10000 steps every day this week, and we are due to go for another walk tonight. Walk in the Lake district tomorrow (with healthy picnic lunch, not pub grub), and maybe back to gym on Sunday (although OH wants to go to BBQ organised by his archery club). I hope I can do it!!!!!
(sorry for bothering you with this, but it is the only thing that doesn't leave my mind at the moment!)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Wow just 500g to go! Well done Gin:T
My temp this morning at CD10 shot up to 37.44c (99.39F)
I've temped few times since then, but it doesn't vary much.
I don't have a flu or anything, I wonder if I over did it on Soy Isoflavones:(
I'm not allergic to Soy though, have eaten many soy products for years.
My FF chart is here:http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/286900
I hope it'll come back down tomorrow.
Do you think I should come clean about taking Soy when I see the fertility specialist next Wednesday?0 -
Vow, that is a bit jump!!!! Did you get very hot tonight by any chance? Take care, I hope it is not a flu!
I have been working hard this week both on food front and on exercise. It is not all over yet, as I still have some way to go. I will have to have a lunch with the client on Monday, which i will have to be careful about not to over-do, and if we go for that BBQ on Sunday, I may have to limit myself with one sausage or burger.
I think it helps not being on Clomid, as it doesn't make the weight 'stick'!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
