I saved over £1000 !!!! by shopping around for my IVF drugs - The most expensive quote was over just 2k (from a local pharmacy) Boots was a bit cheaper, Clinic was about £1200, but in the end I got my drugs from Health care at Home and they came to just under £900 (if I remember correctly).

It just goes to show how much some places try and make out of you.

Thanks for the link Shelly, that's good moneysaving news to anyone going through IVF again. I think my drugs cost £1600 through the clinic, but I got about £250 back as they only give you enough to keep you going, and refund whatever you don't actually take from the clinic.

Nottslass, if only I had known at the time that I could shop around! £800 savings would have paid for a quick holiday (which I certainly needed after the chem. preg).

Well, CBFM has gone sky high today so I hope OH has got energy :rotfl:
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Hi all, its quiet on here.

Angela, I hope you havent killed off your OH!!!

My OH is enjoying life at the moment :D:D:D:D:D:D as it is coming up to the right time here as well. We are decorating, which is why I am not around much - I am just careful not to wear him out with that too much!

I have read through that article in more detail. I am definately interested in looking into it - I found acupuncture brilliant, and I think it would help me with a lot of my current problems - but I am not supposed to have it cos of the lymphodaema. Dilemma! Will have to think about it once the decorating is done, I think.

    Enjoy everyone! Lilo

CD 47 in the ttc house. 2 BFNs under my belt. I'm a bit bored of this. I hoped that once I had my dodgy tube removed my cycles might become consistent. Guess not. Yawn.

On the plus side, I've got a lovely weekend lined up - and we have the first viewing to sell our house tomorrow! A relief after being on the market for about a month without a viewing. Maybe things will get moving now. Wishing you all a fabulous weekend...

Good luck with the house viewing tomorrow jiblets - hope they love it and buy it so that you can move on with your dreams.

Hi JohnieStarr, hope your 2W is worth the Wait! Good luck and baby dust being sent your way!

Have been stripping all day :rotfl::rotfl::eek: But before you think DHs luck is in, it is the fireplace that has been getting all my attention. I was going to board up the fire in our bedroom, but changed my mind - Have chipped out the plaster and have a lovely surround, and now I have stripped the paint off it, I have a beautiful black fire which just needs blackleading. Yipee, it makes a lovely feature in our cottage.

Hope everyone has a great weekend - lilo

CD47!!!! Did you used to have cycles so long before? (Sorry, I can't remember!) I would get to GP or your consultant and ask to be checked out...

It is CD6 here. Had a terrible headache for most of the day. Went running yesterday, and I often have headaches after exercise, but it was really bad today. So, I didn't manage to do much work and will have to catch up over the weekend!

Well, at least I did my weekly shopping at Tesco's and planted my new cherry minarette tree. Some use of the day...

Ginvzt, my longest cycle is 58 days I think so far. My body is really prone to irregular cycles with stress. I don't think I've ever had regular cycles without being on the pill, so it must be more than stress I suppose... I guess I've never gone to the doctors about it specifically, but my GP and my consultant have seen my dates, so I guess they think it's ok...
But it is really annoying. No wonder I have no hope for pregnancy each month, I'm 'late' every month and it is never good news.

Lilo I love fires. I really would love one in my next house, but I think our price range and area we're looking at will mean we have a modern house, so I think our chances are low. Maybe the next one.

jiblets, I would ask GP what could be the reason for your long and irregular cycles. You can't be stressing every cycle (well, you shouldn't!). You had the 'dodgy' tube, so the doctors might have thought that that was pone of the reasons, but after the removal, what else could it be? I am not very clued up about it all, but I would be asking the question.
