Have a good day - day 14 and on high here, I am not sure BFM picks up my peaks, so am assuming it is now as on a routine cycle it would be, IYSWIM!

    Happy bding everyone - lilo

I am on CD 14 and it is high for me too, but I had my two peaks on Saturday and Sunday. However, I got upset with OH on Saturday night, so no bd here, and things are still a bit tense. So, not much hope for this month here. And to be honest, I am not sure I really want a baby as I am finding hard to cope with the life as it is at the moment. My OH is a baby enough to be coping with!

LL - I am glad all is sorted. Not good that you are back, but hope good news will arrive soon...

My appointment is in 10 days, and, to be honest, I am just waiting (expecting) for a call from hospital to tell me they had to cancel it again. Will see.

On a good note - we have friends coming this weekend with a 15month old, and all our 'baby equipment' will get more use! It is OH's birthday on Thursday and we are all going to teppanyaki restaurant on Friday!

LeopardLady, welcome back in the nicest possible way of course and hope to read soon that your PMA is getting there - you're still doing so much better than me! Next time will be your time I'm sure, fingers crossed, x

Alamaya, welcome to the thread and feel free to rant and moan when the urge strikes. We all know how frustrating the process can be and I myself am facing up to the very real possibility that I'll never become a parent and I really do sympathise with the agonies you are going through. All my OH's fault as well, that's what I keep saying under my breath! But in all seriousness it has put enormous strain on our relationship and if we come through this, we'll come through anything. Thinking of you, x

    Lilo, get BDing, x

Ginvzt, hang in there, I know you don't really mean that...

Hope everybody else is feeling a little more positive today, lots more chatter always reassures me - how sad is that?! But all this talk of diets worries me, I really should take more notice of what I eat, but as I'm not eating much at all at the moment I won't beat myself up too much about it!

Love and hugs to anybody in need tonight, x
  • Sorry that things are tense ginvzt - is it pressure of ttc? Look after yourself and have a brilliant weekend. Hope OH enjoys his birthday and you have a great meal.

LL, sorry I said I was glad to see you, I feel really awful saying that now! I meant to say nice to talk to you, rather than glad you were still posting and hadnt got preg IYNWIM - I hang my head with apologies!!!

JohnnieStar, February will come really quickly and you are using the time really productively so well done

Well done everyone on the weight loss.

Anyone already depressed dont read the rest of the post!

Last week my beloved stepdad rang me to say that his son (my stepbrother) had cancer and that he would be starting chemotherapy soon. A week later he has been told it is terminal. I dont know how long he has, but it doesnt sound good. I am in total shock, he is only 45. I am not sure how my stepdad is going to cope - my mum died 3 1/2 years ago, and he is nowhere near over that yet - she was taken suddenly at only 67 (brain haemmorhage sp?) and he is absolutely devastated.

Im fed up with bad news - can I have some good for once!

Oh Lilo, I wrote a reply to you last night and then the forum was shut down so it didn't obviously make it up here - sorry I only got chance to read it and felt like I had been forced to run

I just wanted to say how sorry I am to read your sad news - what an awful shock for you all. Absolutely bizarrely we heard on Friday that my uncle has cancer and will start chemo this week, so I sincerely hope in this case two will do and it won't run in threes.

The only good news I can find to send your way is that my sister has now been approved to adopt and we hope the family will grow in this way this year at least. I'll try and find more good news for you when I get my PMA back, x

    Good morning ladies,

Lilo please do not feel bad saying it was good to see me, i understood what you meant and took no offence. I am soooo sorry to hear your news and wish i could give you some good news, but all i have is that i have found my PMA and am feeling good and positive today.

I really hope everyone has a good day today, despite the fog outside, i am feeling positive and proactive, so am looking at getting a better job and trying, again, to sort out my PhD, so i feel, for the second time this year, that 2010 is going to be a great year :)

    Take care all :)

I have nothing to report about me but just wanted to say to Lilo.....Sorry to read about your step brother.

    shelly x
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
  • Sorry to hear about your step brother lilo :( hugs xxx
  • Cheers gals, your best wishes make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

I just feel desperately sad - for DSB + family, but most of all stepdad. Thanks for all the good news - getting back PMA is WONDERFUL news, and an adoption in the family is excellent. They must be over the moon, I know the hurdles to this are enormous and I wish them all the very best.

Have a good day all - lilo

Hi everyone, long time lurker but only ever posted once I think. I'm sorry to read of Lilo's stepbrother and send positive thoughts.

After 5 years of trying, eventually getting through hoops (only took 2 years+) of NHS - told ICSI (after my last test with high fsh but all previous fine) with donor egg is only way forward. Problem is cos I'm now over 40 no free go with NHS. Any one any recommendations for clinics abroad? Tried another forum but no real recent recommendations. Sorry to pick your brains. And we really got our hopes up this time as I was 4 weeks late and I'm never late! 4 negative tests and AF arrived today!

Thank you for reading and good vibes to you all.

Evening all, Lilo hope you're doing OK and LeopardLady glad to read your PMA is coming back, x

Just a flying visit as I feel so rough tonight to say to hi notisis and I've only been researching success rates in the UK, not abroad, so if you do get wind of any recommendations I would love to know more! Best of luck to you and don't be a stranger...
