I would still have a healthy evening meal and snack on fruit during the day so I don't think I would loose out on too many vitamins, I did think about this but i dont think I am going to get PG any time soon :(
Although you will be upping fruit intake you will also be upping calorie intake. I used to think it was as simple as cutting out a meal here and there and substituting it with a big bowl of salad or fruit and that can work out as much as a small meal if you dont know what you are doing.

Sending huge PMA vibes your way too.

The diet im doing is more for people with a lot to lose rather than just a few pounds but its abstinance from real food and you pick your 4 meals a day from a choice of soups milkshakes and bars and things the packs are nutritionally complete as well I asked many many questions before I started believe me lol apart from being lazy and overweight Im a total health freak I dont eat readymeal things or any of that I cook all my own food including bread, cakes ect My diet before this was 99% vegetables and fruit 1% chocolate and I lost 5lbs in 5 months but with this Iv got over 2st in 12 weeks (it should have been more but i was a piggy at xmas) and actually it isnt as scary as it sounds after the first week or so you dont even think about it Im loving it cos Im going to be stunning on my wedding day and when the last time most of my guest saw me I was fat :D

Btw, I lost the 6lbs I put on over xmas this week so Im back to normal and right on track for the hospital appointments this month YeY!

Well done on your weight loss. What diet is it you are doing? I have done cambridge in past when getting married and found it fine. Had been tempted to try it again as need to get bmi under 35. Nearly there only about half stone to go I think for appt in 4 weeks time. But was a bit worried in case it stopped me ovulating as someone had told me that vlcd can do this so have just lost weight with healthy eating and excercise.

Well done you. Do you not worry though, about what will happen when you stop eating all the shakes and bars? Wont' the weight just all come back on again unless your normal food habits have been changed? Not having a go. I'm on a low carb diet myself. Just wondering what you thought.
  • Hi guys

I feel your pain on the weight loss front - congratulations to all those who are succeeding.

Update on my situation - had 3rd round of follicle tracking last week - scan showed things were still growing albeit slowly and should have ovulated yesterday or today so plenty of BDing going on.

I had minor surgery before Christmas to dilate the cervical stitch I have but they weren't able to check my tubes because of previous scar tissue. So we are still no further on in deciding what treatment to do. Next step is is to attempt the hycosy again (which they couldn't do last May because the stitch was too tightand prompted the surgery). Then hopefully they can advise on some treatment.

They did say there is no point giving me Clomid becausee 1) I am ovulating, my cycle is just long and 2) if my tubes are blocked then I can produce all the eggs in the world but the swimmers just won't get there.

If my tubes are ok then they will do IUI which has no criteria in my PCT and then possibly IVF. If tubes are not ok and can't be repaired/unblocked then IVF is the only option. To get referred on the NHS my PCT criteria are 1 cycle only, no previous children, not smoking for 6 months (both) and my weight under BMI 30. Currently my BMI is 34 but I have to under 30 and keep it there for 6 months before the cut off date of 30 November (this is because they have changed the age in which you qualify from 36 - 39 which meant I was too young when we first went to clinic - I'm 35 to now it is 30 - 34 with an overlap time which expires November .

So basically I need to lose 2 stone before the end of April. I've lost 5lbs in the last 2 weeks doing weight watcher, I'm joining the class tonight and upping my exercise and not had any alcohol for 9 days in the hope to shift it!

Hubby lied to the consultant about not smoking - didn't impress me when I have given up for 18 months now, stopped drinking etc etc and so far he's not really pulling his weight.

All is not lost as I am ovulating (and my Persona confirms this) and until they go in and have a look then I'm presuming my tubes are all ok and am now starting my 2ww!

    Hugs to you all

    Nadine

Hi Ladies, well i am back. Had a week off recovering from everything. Had an ERPC, and everything should now be fine to get back to trying.

Hubby and I are going to release a couple of chinese lanterns tonight to say goodbye. Then it is looking forward and trying for third time lucky! :)

I hope you are all ok? i have not been on here for a week as was not in the right state of mind for any of this. Now back to work, and feeling well and on top of things :)

I look forward to getting back to chatting with you all again and all the newbies :)

  • Hi everyone, good to see some chatting going on - Great to hear the weight loss going on! Some real success stories, with hopefully the reward of IVF referral.

Good to see you back leopardlady - dont worry about the missing PMA - we are all suffering post christmas, so you are in good company.

Glad they sorted out your stitch nadine, hopefully you are on your way now. I definately think assume all is well until proven otherwise! Perhaps if the stitch was really tight, the sperm couldnt get through either?

Have a good day - day 14 and on high here, I am not sure BFM picks up my peaks, so am assuming it is now as on a routine cycle it would be, IYSWIM!

    Happy bding everyone - lilo

Leopardlady cant said im "happy" to see you back that wouldnt sound right but Im glad your doing ok and taking good care of yourself

The diet Im doing is lighterlife and they do classes once a week teaching you about CBT and how to use it when you go back to eating real food so you can learn when your actually hungry and not just emotional eating or because your bored Theres loads of sucsess stories on their website you know the type , people in giant trousers saying this was me 6 months ago type things, Whether it works or not I dont know but I dont plan on ever being the size i was before I looked at pictures of me on facebook a few weeks ago that i took in the summer and was disgusted with myself!

Anyway must run will be back to read later have too many things to do weddings are a pain!
