Thanks, Lilo.
I have already been told by gp that i will be more fertile, im lucky i have a no BS dr who says it straight.
On the MC side of things, after weighing up the pros and cons of things in my head to justify whats happened have looked at it in the senses of i would rather lose something so early in because if it went to term and was so poorly it would have no quality of life then this is kinder. If that makes sense?
We arent having fertility treatment cos i am lowor having difficulties but cod hubby is on so much medication to get through the day that it reduces his count. If i am given the clomid as a booster it means in hospital terms we should have better luck.
Good luck to all those who are ttc and lets hope 2010 is kinder to us all xx:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Welcome to the newbies and re-visitors.
Sequeena, I'm like you and I just can't bear to temp and things - it just takes my stress levels through the roof!
Stef, sounds like you've been having a hard time of it. But you know that you hubby and you can concieve now, so that's a big part of the battle over. It sounds like you're getting lots of medical support, and that's great.
I'm a bit gutted this cycle, for once I REALLY noticed my EWCM (never seen so much!) and then I managed to do something daft and interrupt OH mid-flow so to speak. For once, I knew exactly when I needed to BD and managed to not do it. And with my one missing tube I've probably missed my go for two months, not one. I guess this is why I don't temp. I just end up beating myself up for stuff.Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
Jibs, all is not lost, remember that sperm lasts up to 5 days, so other days will count, and also he will have released something (pre) so you should have some. Its not over til the fat lady sings! (But I know what you mean about beating yourself up, I put so much pressure on hubby when I know the time is right, and am a right cow to live with if I think its not gone right!)
Having another couch day today - its still snowing, and the road outside is gettimg impassable. Hubby is at work, but he works about 1/2 mile away and we have a 4 x 4 so he should be okay. DS is loving it!
Hope everyone is keeping safe and warm!

Jibs - i have had no support from the hospital at all, yes the fertility team helped prior to getting bfp but as soon as i started to mc it was just like i was another statistic clogging up their waiting room. The way i felt at the time i would have rather stayed at home and had the comfort and support of hubby than the man handling of the hospital staff but i know in my head it all has to be done via the book to keep it all official.
Gp has been wonderful though and i think it helps cos he has been there medically since i were born and it makes him easier to approach - he has even said to me and hubby that he will only treat me like one of his daughters, if there is something he would not give his daughter and advice he thinks she wold not benefit from hearing then this is excatly what i will get.
So now back to temping and tracking this cycle ready to get on the bike and ride it so to speak next time.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Glad you have a good GP stef, they are worth their weight in gold. Medical people are very matter of fact about m/cs, but they forget that it is all your hopes and dreams disappearing.

Hi Ladies,
I hope you dont mind me butting in here. I have not been trying for very long, recently had a BFP and just had a miscarriage
Have been doing some research and from what I can see when you have had 3 miscarriages or once they start to investigate fertitlity issues after 6-12 months, the first thing they do is run a set of bloods that check things like hormone levels, progestrone etc...I wondered if any of you ladies had been through this and wether in fact this is what they do.
My reason for asking is I am thinking of paying privately to have these done now, during my short pregnancy my hcg levels were low and after reading up (damn internet) this sometimes happens due to me not producing progestrone, which this blood test would pick up.
I think I am probably grasping at straws and should be grateful for my BFP and be more patient but if it was something as simple as my progestrone level I would rather now know and correct it than after another 2 MCs.
It was the registrar at the fertility department I saw about my MC and she has also advised I increase my folic acid to 5mg a day and take a quarter of aspirin.
Sorry for the waffle just wondered if any of you had had these bloods done privately.
Thank you0 -
Hi Penny, Welcome to the thread. So sorry to hear about your loss. I'm sure there are some ladies here who have had investigations following m/c, but I'm not sure if any have had it privately. I'm sure they'll be along soon to fill you in on their experiences.Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0

Hi Penny, sorry to hear of your recent loss, I've had 3 miscarriages in the last year and i am about to start getting my blood tests now on the 20th of January - they had to wait 6 weeks after the last miscarriage and the blood tests are repeated another 6 weeks later. If this is your first miscarriage then I wouldn't pay to get the tests done privately as mc's are very common particularly in a 1st pregnancy. The reason they wait (in the NHS) for the 3rd mc is that 2 mc's are not uncommon.
The blood tests are for autoimmune disorders that are linked to mc (among other things) asprin is given to control certain problems. I am also on 5mg folic acid as my mum had a baby with a neural tube defect.
