    Hi new ladies :hello:

How is everyone? I bumped us up from page 3

Sorry I need a moan :o, my PMA did not hang around very long I am finding everything so hard at the moment just going shopping babies everywhere I am already thinking what if the ivf fails, what then, which is not good, we have not got our appointment through so I rang and left a message and no one has got back to us

how is everyone coping with the snow?
  • HI nichart - we have been without electric most of the weekend - we have it now but not sure for how long, so trying to quickly cook dinner and recharge all the electrical bits before we lose it again. We didnt have water on Friday, fortunately that came back - and have spent the day sorting out all the probs the weather has caused to our gutters, and our satellite system is not working.

Apart from that we are fine!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant think about BDing, we have small fry in the bed with us to keep us all warm. Only on day 6 at the moment though, so not missing anthing. cbfm still says low.

Colposcopy for tomorrow has been moved to next week, so no answers yet!

Nichart - one the first 3 cycles i had clomid i had severe pain when ov'd felt like someone had kicked me in the stomach but only lasted upto 60 secs. One the last cycle i used clomid i also had folicular tracking and i had no pain what so ever, the nurse asked each morning if i had felt anything and said no but by day 17 both ovaries had popped and i had no sign of it.

Lilo - not nice without water and electrics in this age!!! Hope all is sorted now.

Well, this was my first night in a long run without pregnancy/ttc related dreams (or at least I don't remember any). No PMA here, I am finding it hard to cope at the moment, and every time there is a hint that the conversation might turn to children, I have to swallow my tears. Never mind, one day.

Other than that, I have a cold, and hope I will get over it rather sooner than later. (I had colds in the past that lasted for two months...) Next guests arrive in just 10 days, so need to wash all the bedlinen, iron, and clean the house again. Will keep me occupied for a while!

  • Thanks ginvzt, everything seems to be okay still, so hope problems are sorted. School still closed though, apparently it has 4 foot drifts and has a rubbish lorry stuck in it!! Wont open until they can get a snow plough in - oops!

I really wish I could come and give you a big hug in person, you sound really down - shall have to send you a big big cyber hug instead. Maybe the cold is affecting your PMA? But I must say I do think the time of year straight after Christmas/New year is a very depressing time for most people. After the hustle and bustle, it goes really flat, and many have overspent and added to that the weather!!! I want to hibernate for the winter!!!

Thanks, lilo! I think it has something to do with having our godson around for 10 days... We have found out a bit more about the problems his mum had (she lost first pregnancy at nearly 6 months, and we assumed she miscarried, but it was an early birth in fact, and this baby had a twin, which died early on and was re-absorbed. She has endometriosis, and very irregular periods, so she didn't find out that she was pregnant with this one until about 6-7 weeks!). They are trying for second one, but no luck so far. They both are 38, so time is not on their side either.

Oh, and we have another set of friends coming next weekend with a little one, so I have to prepare the baby room again - it is a pleasure, I have to say, but doesn't do much good for my mind afterwards!

I hope my appointment with the consultant 2.5 weeks won't get cancelled again! I need to know what else can be done to find out why can't conceive since both of are fine, according to all the tests done.

Sorry, I will get PMA back, promise!

(it is CD 7 here, so plenty of time this month to work on the project!)

  • Dont apologise ginvzt, its pleasurable pain having children around. Your PMA will return when you are ready.

I too am on day 7, and cbfm has just gone high. lets hope I dont have to pee on 20 sticks this month!

I hope you won't have to! I had my first stick this morning and it came up as low. It is my first month for CBFM without Clomid, so will see what happens.

I have managed to do no work today, so feel guilty (again). But, I did loads of washing, the stew for dinner is on, Christmas tree is down, packed up the parcel to be posted to our friends and cleaned the kitchen a bit...
