Well, no good news here. CD27 today and AF arrived. This is my shortest Clomid cycle by far (previous one was 32 days). I feeling like crying my eyes out, but as I have guests, I just have to keep swallowing my tears. The little godson is a good boy and is quite fun to play with. I have found out today that he had a 'twin', who didn't go beyond 7th week of pregnancy and was re-absorbed. His mum lost the previous pregnancy at nearly 6 months mark (early birth). So, it was not easy sailing at all.

I am beginning to doubt my abilities of being a mum when I see our friend and my OH's ability to be a dad (both dads are playing playstation now and most of the time we are in the house). Maybe it's my body trying to tell me something. Maybe I should listen to it and get on with my life.

Sorry, not much PMA here... (If I got correctly what it stands for...)

Funny you asking this as we had a very unintentionally Las Vegas themed weekend - we also watched The Hangover!

Hugs Ginvzt, we all have our down-times! I had a very short cycle last month - only 25 days.... all very depressing... so I know exactly how you feel. x
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

aw ginvzt we all go through down moments or down days dont let it doubt your abilities of being a mum you will be fab, how many cycles of clomid have you had?

angelavdavis I need to see the hangover, sounds like a good night
  • Huge hugs to you ginvzt. It may be that your body is getting used to the clomid - did you always have a 27ish day cycle? Its probably settled down. It is hard, but you will get there. I am glad you had a good time with your godson.

Hope your OH appointment comes through soon nichart.

Well, finally, AF has arrived. about b*****y time. Day 39 for me. So, tomorrow is day 1 of a new cycle, and Id better by some POAS's.

Have a good day tomorrow peeps!

I am very nervous. I have my first appt at fertility clinic on Thursday and my diet has went to pot over xmas and not been gym because of weather. Was hoping my bi would be down to 35 but still at 38. I am a stone away!!!!! Really panicking as need to be refered for ivf (if needed) before my birthday on 15th of April and was hoping my weight was not going to be a big deal. I know I can lose before April but just worried that they wont entertain me.

Have you been losing weight for a while hamish? If they have seen a steady decline in your weight to date, I am sure that they will make allowances for Christmas - you aren't far off, are you. Perhaps if all else fails, they will agree to refer you for IVF, but will not actually go ahead with IVF if you are not under 35 (IYSWIM)

OOOOhhhhh AF is a killer this month - does anyone else get 'bowel' problems at this time, I cant go far from a loo today (SORRY prob TMI!) Must remember to order my POAS, although if they take a biopsy next week, I may have to use a sterilised turkey baster cos you shouldnt BD for a while!!!! (now that is desperate, isnt it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) STill dont want to waste the opportunity - although I dont even own a turkey baster so dont know what I could use instead, the mind is boggling1

Hope everyone is having a good day - Lilo

Lilo I always have to hang around the loo for the first day or two of AF too. I have no idea what the science is behind that...
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o
  • *pops head in from t'other ttc thread* hey ladies, I get the err, loo issues, when I have AF and I'm sure its because of the drop in progesterone. Your prog rises after ov then drops at AF (or not if you're a lucky lady :)) but prog slows down your "smooth muscle" movement, i.e. your digestive transit. So when the levels drop, everything speeds back up again, if you get my gist..
Never argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.

Good afternoon everybody, hope the new year is treating you well so far!

Absolutely no sign of PMA here and I'm just treading water as much as I can so Ginvzt I can really sympathise. I don't think I'm destined to be a mum either and feel that my time is well and truly up. Another year, another year older and all that!

Lilo, I second what jiblets says as I also have to stay within reach of a toilet once AF appears. Ah, how lucky are we?!

Hamish, good luck for Thursday and if they don't make an allowance for Christmas then they are just real meanies! You are so very near and there's plenty of time to reach that magic figure before April. Fingers crossed, x

Always nice to see some new faces on here - so a warm welcome from me and I look forward to chatting with you!
