One of the things i find tough is that when you're pregnant there's always some celebrity who announces about the same time that they're having a baby too. Then if I lose the baby (as has happened three times now) you have a constant reminder whenever the celeb pops up in the media with their bump, or their labour, or later their OK spread to introduce little blah blah... it's just really tough. You're always thinking, wow, I should have one that age by now. I wonder what he/she would have been like? Sad.

I always thought I will have baby by the time I am 30. My mum had her 3rd by that time! No woman in our family had baby after 30. OH's mum, on the other hand, had him when she was 30, and his brother 5.5 years later.

I don't read OK or other magazines (don't even know the titles...), so I don't even know the 'celebrities'! I think it helps me to keep my mind sane apart from all other things. I am off for Christmas lunch with girls at work, and then tonight I am taking OH to his Christmas dinner (will do shopping or go to cinema in the meantime), and shopping for the last few gifts tomorrow. Hope that the weather holds!

Well, I'm sure this is far more information that I am meant to share but....
OH and I BD'd last night, and what with my op, and the fact that before that we'd been on a "break" for my sanity - I think it was the first in about 2 months!
I'd forgotten quite how much fun it can be....
    ;D
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

Anyone know anything about or tried and tested the Vitaline Diet for PCOS sufferers?
    http://www.soulcysters.net/pcos-diet-pregnancy-success-story-173262/

Eating every 15 minutes & still losing weight sounds way too good to be true!

Also wondered if anyone had given acupuncture a go? If so, how much was it for how long and how painful is it!?

Love, Hugs & baby dust to everyone, hope you all have a good Christmas xxxx
  • Hi Legacy - yes I have tried acupuncture. It was £33.00 for an hour as far as I can remember, the first one is more and longer as they take medical history. I found it very good, sorted out some probs that I had, like headaches, helped a hormone imbalance and was very de-stressing. I didnt get pregnant though! I only gave it up cos of the lymphodaemia, am not allowed the puncture marks on my legs unfortunately. I miss it. In general it is not very painful. BUT, if they hit upon a point that really really needs it, it is incredibly painful. She did a spot for jetlag just after I came back from America - you could have peeled me off the ceiling! HTH, feel free to ask anything else

Hope all had good weekend! We did a bit of shopping on Saturday, and then I got cleaning carpets (hired Rug Doctor). Very tiring, but happy that we (I) did it. Nearly ready for Christmas!

I haven't tried acupuncture or the diet (I don't have PCOS). Not really sure if I want to try.

I am on my last month of Clomid and taking my last pill tonight (well, at least that is what I am thinking before I see my consultant in 2 weeks). And I am feeling terrible - headaches (not the ones that just 'sit' there, but the shooting pain ones, which make me jump! Great sight in the office), feeling dizzy and nauseous. And can't even get a chocolate or biscuit in a hope that it would help, as no shops around, and out wending machine doesn't take £20 notes... Lunch is nrealy there, so have to hope that my sandwich will make me feel better.

Yes, I did it a few years ago. It works like any diet, but you can't stick to it as it's quite strict and I get seriously fed up of eating raw peppers and celery as snacks.

I do however, recommend the low-carb idiot-proof diet, as it is very good for balancing out blood sugar problems, which is all part and parcel of PCOS. And the food is yummy.

Hi, I also have tried accupuncture and my experience was similar to Lilo - great for stress but otherwise, no sign of a BFP!
