Lilo, keep strong - I know, you will think it is easy for her to say. Don't give up hope! You don't know yet what is really happening, so hope for the best.

Would you like a cup of tea (or anything stronger!) and a biscuit or cake? Or a box of ice cream - that is when my OH knows it is better to leave me to it, when I am sitting on the sofa hugging a box of hagen-daaz and have no intention of sharing it (not good for the waistline, but very good for feeling better - at least for those few moments...)

Sorry to hear your bad news lilo. There's someone on twitter I can show you for you to read her blogs if you like who actually is about to have a hysterectomy. I'll understand if you don't want it, it's not an easy read, but you may decide that it would help you to see the path someone else is walking...
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o
  • Aw lilo I am so so sorry you got bad news I am praying for you that on your next colposcopy and MRI scan you get good news x x
  • Thanks guys. A few hours down the line, I am a bit more fatalistic about it all. It was really raw when I posted and I just needed to let off steam. I really dont know anything until they do a biopsy, I know they are being careful because of my history. As far as I can tell, it depends on how 'changed' the cells are as to whether I have a problem or not. It may just mean monitoring, but only if they dont find more advanced changes elsewhere. So wait and see, basically. Yeah right, like thats easy!!!!! It was this time last year that I got the letter with my first appointment, so obviously it is bringing back memories that I would rather not have! The good news is that it is not cancer itself this time, although the outcome will be the same.

SO, PEOPLE OUT THERE READING THIS THREAD - IF YOU ARE DUE A SMEAR, OR FEEL SOMETHING IS WRONG, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. THERE IS SO MUCH THEY CAN DO THAT PRESERVES YOUR FERTILITY DO IT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE

    Lilo.
Only just read your news. I don't know what else to say except I am sorry and I am gutted for you.

Try and take comfort from the fact that whatever it is or isn't, they have found it early and not when it's too late to do anything about (easier said than done, I know)
I hope that the colposcopy is enough to take the changing cells away and you can get on with TTC again.

As always my PM box is open so please PM me if you want/need to.

    Take care

:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
  • Oh Lilo I can only imagine how you are feeling - put's everything else into perspective really when it is your life at risk.

I'm sitting here trying to think of what to say that won't sound flippant and the words just aren't coming - nothing I can say will take away your worry.

Easier said than done but try to keep positive until you get the results and as Shelly said they have found anything early.

You have survived this once before so if the results do come back not as you would want then you WILL survive it again.

I don't even know you and I want to cry (and I'm not even very sentimental xx)

    Thinking of you xx
