I can 'survive' on Clomid, is not that bad. AF is very painful the first day though! (And then not much of it, it seems like it on the way out and it has been here for barely 24 hours!) However, since I ovulate without it, I am not sure I see 'point' of taking it..
I must admit ginvzt, I didn't understand them prescribing it for you to be honest. It doesn't agree with you, so seems more trouble than its worth. Definitely worth putting this to the Doc when you see him/her.
Nadine, don't beat yourself up about the weight loss - it sounds like you have done brilliantly.
Nichart - lots of reasons for the FSH levels to be higher - mine was 13.5 - I was terrified as I was 39 at the time, then I found out (once I had paid for IVF) that I only had one functioning ovary so not surprising, in fact considering we are working with 50% functionality - 13.5 wasn't bad at all! I probably only every had one that worked as can only recall ov pain on that side. Sadly that is not taken into account by the NHS when it comes to funding.
I didn't use CBFM this month as we are off on holiday toward the mid-end month so didn't want to feel obliged to pack it. I sense I am ov'ing now, and OH is doing well!
But, its been a funny week all round. Weekend went better than expected with inlaws. I stayed in the kitchen as long as possible, using cake decorating with niece/nephew as an excuse. They had a wail (sp?) of a time! All in all, it was sufferable.
Have got both the part time jobs I wanted to get (woohoo!!) but found out that my creative writing session has been scrapped. Was upset about this really as its the only thing I do for myself.
Otherwise, I have the spectre of another Saturday afternoon with the inlaws - this time in a restaurant so I can't escape to the kitchen. I think that is why I am clearly not sleeping (3rd night in a row).
I am very tearful this week too - can't even blame Clomid for the problem.
Even if the magic happened this month, I suspect I would have a pickled baby with the wine I have been consuming the last two weeks!
On the very very plus side, I have about 9 days until we go to Las Vegas on hols, so I shouldn't be so miserable really I know!
Bear with me peeps - hopefully I will cheer up after the weekend!;)Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I suppose Clomid might be used to help with ovulation and produce more than one egg in the cycle? Therefore there would be a slightly higher chance of egg being fertilised. So I see it that way. But - if my problem is that eggs are not getting fertilised or cannot implant for some reason, Clomid would be of no use in that case... Since I had nearly 30 cycles by no ttc with no results, I have no idea what the problem could be! I do ovulate as confirmed by tests, tubes are clear, all looks fine. Just no baby!!!!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

I am CD14 and still on high, and think yesterday prob was my peak, and I have ov this morning. trouble is I have had a really bad headache for days and the action has stopped! So doubt anything will happen here. CBFM still on high, so poss I suppose, but no chance til tonight!

Im hoping for late ovulation, but I have to say tonight will really be a case of think of England just in case my egg is still knocking around!!
Ive had this one for ages, I have been blaming it on the Anti Ds, this is its 3rd day, and I have been asleep on the sofa all day.

Ref headaches - I think there is a sinus virus going around. I have spoken to about three people this week who are suffering so it could well be related(?)
Ginvzt, Sorry for forgetting your history, I know I should know by now, but I assume OH has also been checked? Bar a couple of months when I was unwell and two months after IVF failed, I have ovulated every month like clockwork, but haven't got pregnant in 47 months of trying!! However, we know OH has issues. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Don't be sorry - I don't expect anyone to remember the stories of everyone! We both have been checked. We started our investigations in January (nearly a year ago!!!) and GP sent OH for his test, and I got blood tests done as well. All came back fine. Then I was referred for further investigations, and after initial appointment with NHS, I moved onto Bupa, and had hycosy (found a cyst and one tube was not draining) and laparoscopy (all clear). Then - Clomid and I have took my first pill of the last month yesterday. Next appointment - New Year's Eve.
I don't know how you feel, but that is what I find so hard - the number of months without getting pregnant, especially since we both have been given all clear. It is really hard!!!! I have been watching some silly program on TV last night (like Kirsty's Homemade Christmas or Kidnapped by Kids), and couldn't stop crying that we still don't have little one to share our life with! It will happen one day. It has to...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Thanks, lilo - we know we will get through to the other side, don't we, it is just that the wall we need to break through are thicker than usual! (It is probably no good, that I am still shopping for baby/toddler stuff to sort out the room for our godson's visit, but it makes me feel happy for now while I am still getting things. I have even got Stokke tripp trapp, second hand - just received it couple of days ago, and used it as my office chair yesterday - it is so comfy!!!!!)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Bless ginvzt. It is a tough time of year. I would be due my baby about now, I think, given that my most recent miscarriage was June, but I'm trying not to think about it. Last year was tough too as I was due a baby on 24 December. Seems I have a Christmas baby obsession!
One of the things i find tough is that when you're pregnant there's always some celebrity who announces about the same time that they're having a baby too. Then if I lose the baby (as has happened three times now) you have a constant reminder whenever the celeb pops up in the media with their bump, or their labour, or later their OK spread to introduce little blah blah... it's just really tough. You're always thinking, wow, I should have one that age by now. I wonder what he/she would have been like? Sad.0
