My OH did grudgingly admit that ET "didn't look like fun" after I made him sit through that. But overall, he genuinely thinks he has the rough end of the deal!

Hospital didn't call me back yesterday so will have to try and track them down today. OH did at least pick up his prescriptions... but then said he'd start them in a couple of weeks when it was less sunny as apparently one of them makes him sensitive to sun! I told him to suck it up and made it pretty clear he started them now or he started packing.

Not looking forward to another day in my furnace office. It's really not putting me in a good mood.

For those of you that have tried inisotol (sp!) did you have any side effects? I can't work out if I've got a cold, hayfever or some weird reaction to something.

Hey tea lover. I've not had any particular reaction but then I'm on 99 other types of medication so you never know, they might be masking it. LOADS of people in my office have had hay fever type symptoms this month, even those who say they never get it, so maybe it's that?

    Mrshappy that's great news!! :)

The adoption prep course went well. Absolutely tons to think about. We covered the process of adoption from both the adopters and the child's perspective. What sort of children come up for adoption. What issues they might have. Problems with attachment, mental & physical health, learning disabilities. What kind of contact with the birth family would you be happy with? What age? Gender? What's normal for these children is chaos, so coming into an adopters house, however calm & loving, is NOT normal for these children. What kind of abused child could you deal with? Most adopted children have been neglected, rather than any other kind of abuse. What kind of behaviours result from the start these children have had.
It was really intense. We met some lovely people, the social workers were great. We've got our forms through, which is general history so that they can match us to a social worker ready for our assessment. It's going to be a long process!

mrshappy - great news! I'm hoping to have an egg-sharing ICSI cycle soon so it's good to hear about the process from the other side too. Fingers crossed for you xx.

onestep - sounds like it's going well. A lot to take in, but it sounds really interesting. You'll be so much better prepared than most parents lol! Hope the next steps go well for you xx.

AFM, I've decided it's nothing to do with the inositol and is just a stinking cold, during a heatwave... how did that happen lol?!

    MrsHappy - that's great news

Onestep - glad the course went well and hope you get allocated a sw soon so that home study can begin. It may be a long process but you are on the road now, so pleased for you.

Tea - big boo for having a cold during this heat wave!
