What's the immediate cause, El? Stress related, okay, but something triggers *that* expression of stress rather than another.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Frozen shoulders usually are- now this may sound daft, but when mine was bad and i had cortisone jabs, it wasn't working. Then i had a brainwave..mine was on the same side as Mr.B in bed...you know the problems i have there, snoring, pouncing on my good self, wrestling for duvet in middle of night etc. Well instead of being all sultry and relaxed in bed..it became a nightly struggle which ended up with me walking around like hunchback of notre dam..with squint and whincing.
The solution- two duvets and swapped sides of the bed. Shoulder was no longer put under stress and strain, support with a couple of pillows and one more jab with anti inflammatory tabs and it was as good as new...:D
The problems with the snoring continues...but that was a separate saga...The docs wouldn't prescribe arsenic or a cattle prod to sort that out..gits :mad:and i don't encourage the other either..now i have found sleep again.blissful life...:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

bob i have to admit i did think this couldve been the same with my shoulder (and it still might be) we got the new mattress last dec and within a few days (not even 4) i was in agony with my other shoulder i went to the dr and got a cortisone in that shoulder and it seemed to help ...i have tried swapping sides with mr el but it hasnt helped he complains because he cant sleep when we do ...it is much worse in the morning though tbh and alot of my pain is in bed ...this mattress cost us £900 last december i havent even fully paid for it yet its one of those super duper things that are meant to take the shape of your body (not that i think it is either super or duper havnt liked it from the day we got it) ...we bought it for mr el's back last year he seems to like it says it helps him ...but i think it could be what's causing my problems0

Well you can't go on that like..i know what you mean about the mattress and it may be worth biting the bullet and putting that one in the spare room and getting a mattress with two different tensions on either side. That way you will both be able to get the correct support, worth a try to go looking.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Mrs P had a frozen shoulder, the local Chinese Doctor did a bit of acupuncture and used some stick-on herb pads ( poo-ey!) etc and it had great results.
He did say that in China, the cure is to grab patients hand and WINDMILL the offending arm around to break the tension from the siezed shoulder!
Sleep on the non-hurty side and support bad arm with pillow, works for me.
Still have vision of squinty-eyed, hunch-Bob:rotfl:phwoarhh:D stay wonky
