Hi El - you have to stand firm! What I have been doing recently is batch cooking meals - so today I cooked 3 lots of meals for today and later in the week. That helps avoid the temptation of takeaways or supermarket convenience food as I have already prepared it in portion sized tubs.

I have had homemade chicken fried rice a few times recently - and bought one large portion of chippy chips to go with it. So it feels a bit like we've had a takeaway but with less cost and fewer calories....

It might be worth keeping a little diary of when the temptation for takeaways hits - and then set up a strategy of pre-cooking to remove the urge... Just a thought...

There seems to be a slight thaw in the elantan household .... Today I have been asked what I would like for breakfast .. now however he has went out to buy it ( I just asked for egg on toast) cause apparently we have no eggs left ( I saw over half a dozen on Monday ... Wonder where they went to) don't get me wrong I can still tell by the way he is talking that he isn't happy .... But it's slightly less chilly

You've been sticking to your guns - good for you - I guess what it boils down to is that if you're a rescuer in one area of your life, you do it in others - and you've been rescuing your OH, maybe?

You've stopped now, so he's going to throw a paddy, of course - but get through this, and get him communicating back to you (we can hope, y'know?) then things will look a lot, lot brighter.

Oh dear! Well, um, you could make cake, and cake freezes  sort of..........

 to other people criticising on whats between you and OH - no way. Support or leave, but people have a lot of emotional energy invested in the status quo, very often.

    Good luck with it all.
