Trying For a Baby III

  • Hi All
Well I came off the pill on 20th Aug. This was my end of normal pill cycle. Had AF from 23rd to 26th ish. When I was on the pill I never really had heavy periods - I used to before I started taking it many years ago. When I fell with my DD I fell immediately after coming off it.
I should have had AF again last thurs/fri and as of yet - nothing. I have done a test, well - loads! and they were BFN (is that right abbreviation? ) which I am ok about as expected not to fall straight away. But now I am concerned that AF hasn't come and so I don't know if it will so will I Ov at all? In 14 days from when it was due? I have lower abdominal pains and some other signs of AF but nothing yet....I have a Ov test kit but you only get 7 in them so I don't know when to test from?

    Any help/advice appreciated

    xx
The fact you're gettin bfn(that is the correct term;)) I wouldn't worry about AF not showing just yet, you're body is probably just re-regulating itself and trying to work out what to do without being prompted by a pill iyswim:) Also it may take a while for the pill to get out of your system, if it's getting to the point where it's been a few weeks then go to the docs but until then it's just a waiting game:rolleyes:
If it helps, when I came off the pill AF turned up 3 weeks late:eek: Was starting to think there was something wrong with me, made docs appointment on the monday by the evening AF had shown up...threw me completely off track as the witch normally shows in the morning for me:rolleyes:

Anyways nothing to report here, had a lazy but fun weekend;) And crossing my fingers, I'm quite hopeful again and will bd again tonight just for good luck:cool:
It's strange that you lot know more about when I'll be bd'ing than DH does:rotfl::rotfl:

fuzz I'll be testing Thurs if AF holds off.

Still no symptoms! first month that's happened haha.

Every1 OK today? One person at work gave birth on Sat and another one is due to pop any day now. My due date would have been 24 sept so keep getting waves but OK at the mo.

Yes confuzzled it looks like we could be cycle buddies again;):D When you due to test??

And xmas!! I would look forward to it if I knew SIL wasn't coming (yes HER:mad:) DH explained to her we really want xmas to be just us and DS especially as it's our 1st wedding anniversary (eeek its weird to see that written:o:rotfl:) BUT DH said if she has nowhere else to go she would have to come here.... I've said I don't care - I'm not having her ruin my xmas!!! *breath in, breath out*

Well I came back from Doctors with an inhaler:confused: and I now know to have sex 14 days before period due (really:rolleyes::rotfl:) My bloods aren't good :( I did have early mc but doc said at least I know I can get pg. If I get a BFP I have to wait to see if I have an early mc again, then see midwife at about 7 weeks who will then sort out an early scan due to my Crohns, being on immunosupprosents etc.

smartie so you got an answer of sorts then and a promise of further intervention if needed in the future.

Sorry to hear about SIL xmas thing. We try and please all at xmas but end up racing around all day with no time to ourselves. Think when "it" happens we might have to put a stopper to all that... isn't it all so complicated though?

fuzz do tell us more about your plans? I get motivated by others' - liked the MSE pots'o'gold - might do that one this year!!

  • Christmas and families can be a nightmare sometimes. I've told OH that if all is still OK by then we will be having christmas at home alone this year as it would be our last adult christmas, and I intend to spend it in my PJs eating what I like.
  • Sounds like my perfect christmas scotsgirl! Still, the masochist in me likes the hubub of family (and the sadist in me likes seeing my *very straightlaced* MIL !!!!ed and playing party games...and then taking photos...:D)

Sorry Smartie but I have to agree with your DH even someone you don't like is entitled to a half decent xmas:) Can't you tell it bring out my charitable side?:D
And YAY for FINALLY going to the quacks:rolleyes::D And another YAY for knowing you can get pregnant and yet another YAY for being highly fertile atm even though it is due to an early mc:(
When you due to test??? With my lengthened cycles:mad::mad: MMC is putting me down as AF due Oct 4th:eek: So a long wait for me:rolleyes: actually it's not that long is it?? Its nearly end of September already:eek::eek::eek: Where has the year gone?

Katy we have alternate years at parents, this year is the ILs turn but me and DH have said they can come to us instead as we haven't had an xmas at home yet(we've lived together for 3 yrs!) so ould be fun as BIL lives with them so he'll be coming too and possibly his 'friend' who I hate, she's a right conniving cow, she leads him on and she doesn't wanna be with hiim but she sabotages all his relationships:mad::mad: Its a "I don't want you but I don't want anyone else having you either" thing:mad::mad::mad::mad: But she will not ruin my xmas coz it'll be my house and I will call the shots:D:D Plus we were talking last night and turnd out DH called my parents and invited them too, they're supposed to have xmas with my sister but dn't think it'll happen now so I'm looking at a very hectic xmas and having to cater for approx 10people:eek::eek: But whats xmas without your family about eh?? Can't you tell I'm a proper homebody lol

Oooo turned into and epic coz I'm soooooo excited...will tell of my plans in another post, this will be too big now:o:o:o

I do the same with MIL:D Although she's v.straightlaced she has a great sense of humour and doesn't mind us all taking the mick....thank god:D Samd wit FIL actually, and ilove winding him up about his age...he's 71:eek: And still going strong, although n my opinion he doesn't look that old:confused:

Oooo whoever gets a bfp this month will be looking at telling family around xmas:T How amazing would that be?!?!? Pls let it be me, pls let it be me!:D:D:D
