Hi Ladies.....
Well I dont know what Im doing lately, am totally out of it for this month....
And for yet another month no OPK results..... why of why!!!!
I think Im just going to give up tracking anything, peeing on anything (including my own hand)!!!!
However, I did get that tattoo we were talking about 30 odd pages ago LOL
Hi,
A few ideas for you :
Are you doing opk twice a day as it can be easy to miss the surge if it is short. I have heard that people have success testing at 10am. Have not read back over the thread but if you have a short cycle you might be ovulating earlier and if you have a longer cycle you could be ovulating later than day 14. HTH.
BTW there is a thread on opk on the ovusoft.com website or pee on a stick is another one.0 -
I am cd28 AF due 22nd Sept. I did a firest response test yesterday as I had an event to go to (with wine) and I wanted to know with reasonable accuracy if I was pg. Got a BFN and was really gutted, but had a good night out anyway!
I don't feel pg, so thats me for another month I think - but this month I can use the CBFM i bought, so feeling a bit more positive.

hi all
Tattoo is just some basic script writing of the quote
" And this too shall pass"
Its on the inside of my left wrist, and I love it.....
I've been opk-ing twice a day and started at day 11 and have been going till now day 23..... according to my FF and previous positive OPK's I ovulate around CD 21, with an average 35 day cycle..... I want my 28 days cycles back!!!!!
Its not since I really started paying attention that they bcame 35 day-ers....
Its really starting to do my nut, and I think Im more annoyed with myself because for the love of god, I cannot sum up the energy for BD during the week, and I always manage to mis-time it when we do...... Im just too tired from my work through the week and of course dont have my fertile period of the weekends or over my holidays.... NO thats always the time for AF to get me the ruddy witch!!!!
Oh ladies............... I dunno what to do next, Im really bummed by the whole thing and feel a bit like my life is in the shi**er........

Aw CAFCgirl, hugs! TTC can really drag you down sometimes.
Out of interest, I notice you say your cycles have become longer - have you tried using Agnus Castus at all? I can't guarantee it, but my cycles were longer, (35-42 days), I started using AC, first month I ovulated about 3 days earlier, got PG, had MC, immediately started AC again, and ovulated almost a week earlier again. I know the MC would have had an impact but my understanding is it normally tends to delay ovulation not bring it forward a week. I only took AC up until the point where I knew I had ovulated as it's not recommended in pregnancy I believe.
Hugs to all who need it, and I hope everything is ok Gena0 -
thanks scots, i'll head off and do a bit of googling i thinkWealth is not measured by currency0

CAFC - I'd say look into Agnus Castus and see what you think. I use it up until ov then stop, but I've heard plenty of people who've taken it all month until they get the BFP then they stop. From wikipedia:Its mechanism of action is not well known. A study has found that treatment of 20 healthy men with higher doses of Vitex Agnus-castus was associated with a slight reduction of prolactin levels, whereas lower doses caused a slight increase as compared to doses of placebo. A decrease of prolactin will influence levels of Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and estrogen in women; and testosterone in men
So basically they think some of the compounds in it work on the pituitary gland to regulate your hormones.
Aside from that scotsgirl - you still posting from your holiday?!
I smell of gloss and white spiritNot very flattering to be honest, but I'm married now so he's gotta lump it

CAFC: I've just found this for you too
Also known as:
Chaste Tree, Vitex agnus castus
Uses:
Premenstrual Syndrome, Acne
Description:
This herb has a long tradition of use as a general ‘balancer’ for the female hormones. Despite its common name, Chaste Tree, Agnus castus is actually a shrub found in the Mediterranean. The fruit of the plant is used in phytotherapy and gives off a pleasant peppermint-like smell.
How it Works:
Agnus castus acts on the Pituitary gland to increase the secretion of Lutenising Hormone, which leads to an increase in the production of Progesterone during the second half of the menstrual cycle. It has also been reported to possess the ability to inhibit Prolactin.
Both these actions are thought to he important in PMS, particularly as many who suffer with the problem have a greater sensitivity to Prolactin. Agnus castus has also been found to be beneficial in the treatment of acne in both men and women.
When to Avoid:
Seek advice if using oral contraceptives or HRT. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
