Thanks Glam. I would have offered but I'm trying to cook tea, clean and sort dishwasher. As well as catching up whilst I do it.

Sorry t hear about sis, Can she not get her own place? She'll probably need it once baby arrives.

    *waves*

I'm home for a night. Been fighting off the tearful day all week and today I broke.

Amber Violet was born at 9.21am on the 6th August by elective c section weighing 6lb15oz. On Friday afternoon she was taken away to special care baby unit due to low blood sugar levels. She is still there and is now on a 'billi-bed', a phototherapy mat for jaundice. Her drip was switched off yesterday which is good news but her sugars are still low. Breast feeding is going well but I am on antibiotics for mastitis in both breasts which I think is due to the hospital electric pump. I got on great with it with the boys but this time its just not me. Special care gave me a medela harmony manual pump which is sheer bliss to use, and the mastitis is starting to clear up.

Welcome Tracy! Nice to have you on board- I can't believe you've lurked for so long.

I was going to have chilli for tea, Glam, but forget to get it out of the freezer so I had ratatouille with a jacket potato. Very nice it was too.

Is it sad that I am really looking forward to Economy Gastronomy at 8pm then plan to go to bed? OH is out for a Chinese so I thought I might as well make the most of the peace and quiet and the cooler evening and get a really early night.

Tia- she is beautiful and is going to look stunning in all those dresses you've bought! Take care of yourself and don't feel bad for being tearful. I hope your OH is giving you lots of TLC.

I didnt have a birthing pool as 1) i knew i would get grumpy in it and 2) i didnt want to have to clean it lol!

My labour was quite quick and TBH there wasnt that much mess. i used a few of the absorbant changing pads and a few towels. The bonus for me was that after i had delivered the baby i could have a shower and climb into bed with the baby. no MW coming in every few mins to see if i was ok and wake baby! i even managed to get on here and let everyone know lol!
i felt that i recovered much quicker and even drove to my MIL the next day to pick the kids up lol!(this was mainly due to my OH falling down the stairs when i was in labour and braking his foot lol!)

Tia - have a good cry and moan, think your throughly entitled after everything. Congratulations on your DD, very beautiful!

GISI - I'm looking forward to that at 8pm too, think the family spend something like 17k!!!!!!!

Caz - I was shocked at the lack of mess and gore. It wasn't half as much as I expected. Your labour sounds eventful with your OH!

Tia, Amber is beautiful. Such a pretty little girl already. Can't wait to see my little girl in all the dresses I've been washing today.

I love the dress Amber is wearing in that last photo. Hope you are both together at home very soon. And don't worry about the tears, you are entitled. You have created a little miracle and it's bound to be emotional.
