Well, back from scan- dissapointed! He had his arm up to his face so we couldn't get a good look at him on 4d. Sent off for a walk around, came back and he was in the exact same position!!! So no 4d, but we saw him on 2d, the side view of his face-his gorgeous little button nose!! The sonographer did the growth report though and according to that he currently weighs 3lb 5oz. I know it's only rough but she said he's within average range and everything looks fantastic, all normal size. She said his legs were long, but he could have just had a growth spurt there and the rest of him hasn't yet! Or he could just have long legs lol. I'm only 5ft 5 but I have quite a short torso and long legs.
So there we go..have to go back Saturday afternoon and see if little Ethan has got over his shyness :rotfl:It's funny though cos he was in same position as when I had my 20wk scan-one of the pics we got given from it shows him with an arm up to his head..I'll go find it on photobucket and post it up again.
Oh and he's breech at the mo but when I saw midwife last week he was head down...little wriggly bum :D

Here is one of my 20week scan pics with the famous arm up to head pose.22June2009-1.jpg

Welcome to Tracy, Sorry you had no luck at the dentist SJ. Glad your hubby doesn't have swine flu Nicki.

Went to Docs this morning, checked my water again, thinks i have a UTI. Has sent sample off to the lab, have to wait for results (hopefully tomorrow) to confirm it and get antibiotics. Then went to midwife in the afternoon. She was not impressed that the doctor didn't give me anything there and then, she says its uncomfortable enough being 35+ weeks pregnant, with out any added infections. She wreckons i have thrush and a UTI. Oh deep joy.

Came home from work just before 12pm. Its the first time i've been of sick in years, never mind whilst pregnant. But had had enough, did what i needed to do, gave up and came home and went straight to bed, got up 10 mins before midwife appointment.

Hopefully by dinner tomorrow should have a prescription for antibiotics and canestan pessary. And will hopefully feel better, as am getting shooting pains up my foof and that cannot be right.

On the subject of hospital bags, all i have in mine is a pack of maternity pads, toiletry bag for me, but need to swap the showergel for baby wash as recommended the other night by those from the parent thread. Need to buy Pjs, dressing gown, slipppers and nightdress. Plus disposable or Carrywell knickers. Also need to pack baby clothes, nappies etc. - not as organised as i thought i was.

ETA: Tia Amber is gorgeous. Helen, lovely scan.

tia - meant to say Amber is gorgeous and I love the little dress!

Helen - sorry you didn't get to see bubs, my bubs has got legs to. Every appt I go to they say he is head down but I'm sure he moves about when I'm at home and flips around!

Going to Liverpool One tomorrow night - Primark and Peacocks for labour and post birth pj's and nighties and then see what else I can pick up so I can pack my bag this weekend or next week.

    Hi Glam :)

The classes seem like they could be good if they stay like this - here's hoping! And as for the bag: I have to work out how on earth I'm going to fit any more into it :p Might have to split things up a bit - it'll probably be repacked quite a few times over :D

Tia - hope you're feeling better soon: lots of 'get better soon' wishes for your little girl too - she is such a cutie! And Amber is a lovely name :)

Glam- was it you who mentioned something about how to estimate babies birth weight using the weight given at a growth scan? If I remember rightly,do you just add 0.5lb for every week you have left?

It's roughly 0.5lbs per week from start of 3rd trimester but will differ from person to person.

got a rollicking off my mum for saying baby was about 5lbs at last scan so about 6.5lbs now - you shouldn't pay any attention to those scans. My babies were all going to 10lbs but most were 7lbs blah blah blah

Oh well. NCT do a pack of three C-section knickers, may try them instead. Was given a pair similar to these in the hospital when i had DS. They were fab, soft and comfy, i was washing them every night at home, so i could wear them the next day.

Its Ok glam, will do Primark in wigan on a Sunday. So much better, and i know where its free to park at weekends.;) And its only a five minute waddle.
