Hi all, once again a quick post. Sorry there has been so much going on that I can't remember it all.

Got a message to call my Drs last night, so called this morning and have been told I have anaemia (sp?) and that they have prescribed iron tablets which they have put in the post to me - I wasn't expecting that kind of service! So that will hopefully help my tiredness. I had to get some dark chocolate today in an effort to increase my iron levels (honest it is purely for medicinal purposes ;))

Does anyone else get stitch like pain whilst walking about? I am assuming it is Jr in a position that is pushing on something??? But not sure.

All the nurseries look really pretty - ours is going to be so boring in comparison. We should be getting our cot this weekend (passed down from my older brother) which will be nice to see in the nursery - as at the moment it is a room with a border, chest of drawers and a pram in! :)

When I rang up for an appointment after my BFP I had to wait until I was 8 weeks for my booking in, MW then arranged 12 week dating scan, was told to book MW for 16 weeks, then had 20 week scan (which was made at my 12 week scan) and then had 28 week appointment with MW (just had) and told to make another appointment in 6 weeks time (34 weeks) according to the schedule that was in the pack the MW provided at the beginning the MW appointments will then be every 2 weeks at 36,38,40.

HypnoNu and SS - pics are lovely, can't wait to be putting photos of Jr online (although I am quite happy to let him/her "cook" for a bit longer :))
Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early) :D

maz - not sure if Aless will be back on to answer your question so hope she doens't mind me answering. Her mum has passed away in the US so she is going bakc to US on Friday until bank holiday. She'll be having scan a bit later than 20 weeks.

Just go back to last nights posts - a few of the girls on parent thread told us what happened after they had given birth.

karen - that's good service. I wish I could eat chocolate for any purpose!

    Hey,

Can anyone direct me to where people were talking about what happens with showering & stuff after the birth? it sounds quite useful.

Thanks, Glam :) (I'm around til Fri, btw)...maz - I was scheduled to have it next Friday, which was late anyway (almost 22 wks) but now it's going to be early Sep at almost 24 wks. We're not finding out the sex anyway, so while of course I wanna see bubs bouncing around on the screen, I'm not overly impatient like some people who want to know the gender! :D

Thanks everyone for telling me how the appointments were arranged for them.
I will wait for a couple of weeks and if i don't hear anything i will contact the doctors and get direct info for MW.

Still going in circles about how far along i am, sometimes feel like I'm several weeks other times think it's just a couple of weeks.

Ooh, went to see my sis at the weekend & came back with a John Lewis cot & mattress, a red Bugaboo Cameleon pram + accessories, & a bag full of bedding & blankets.

She was really frustrating & said she only wanted £50 for all of it, which is a ridiculous amount cos its worth a fortune & in really good condition. So now we have to think of a more reasonable amount to offer her, while bearing in mind that we don't have all that much.

    It's all gorgeous though!!

    Hi all,

sorry to barge the thread,:o but I was just reading a thread on mumsnet about some pg women planning HB's being told to go in to hospital instead because of short-staffing due to swine flu.

Anyhow, this thread contains lots of useful advice on how to assert your right to a HB even under those conditions.

Thought it might be of use to some of you.;)

    Love weezl x

    Thanks Weezl

OMG - my big boss has just been to say she's not around now so won't see me before she goes. She was in tears :o which set me off.
This is an extremely strong person who is a bit of bull terrier if you don't get on right side of her and she has just said she has never ever cried when she's lost a member of staff. Said she would have me back like a shot if I ever wanted to come back.

oh i feel all sad now :(
