How long did people wait on their dating scans?
Missed replying to this one ... I took a sample to my GP when I was about 6wks, and they confirmed the pregnancy. I got written notification of my first (dating) scan, which was scheduled for exactly 12 weeks; and then got written notification of my Booking Appt with the community midwife, which wasn't until 16 weeks (apparently standard round here).:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Morning All,
God you lot don’t half chat (no Glam I’m still here I was catching up, took me yonks!! )
Kindof – We got the M&P Ocean cotbed , dark wood– we love it and it matches our bed.
Fidget – Hope things are better your end and that you sort things out.
Real nappies- We have the Bambino Mio – which I hoped to be using by now!
Dooleys- Yay double the trouble. We wondered where you was! Congratulations
Lou – great news about your scan. Its amazing isn’t it
Aless – Glad you got your tickets in the end. Bet you cant wait to get there now- least your on your way
SJ – Your piccies are lurvely !!
Chasingbutterflys – re homebirth question. I’ve had 2 h/b and hoping that this one too is too. My main thing for a HB or hospital birth is in the way of having a distraction/ focus point and mines a clock that has the second hands on it. I find that it helps me focus on contractions and I put mini targets in my mind to aim for. I.e this is going to be over in 5 mins etc. I also give myself a ultimate cut off point for giving birth, being realistic of course.. Thanks for the vibes and HTH
Beenie- We all panick about something but doesn’t it all work out for the best in the end? Things are sent to test us. You’ll work out who you want your BP to be.
Fitzio – Sounds like a scarey experience. Do you have to go back to see anyone about it?
Sugar – Molly Elizabeth is gorgeous, seeing the picture made me smile, thank you
All – many thanks for the vibes / worries…- I’ve thanked you all but too many to single out on this post. ..well had my 3rd sweep yesterday and she had to rip my cervix open. My cervix hasn’t thinned out in any way. ( I don’t get many BH so maybe that’s not helped and its my 6th pregnancy) , m/w said it was paper thin and that she could get a finger in, and then she got 2 fingers in and ripped it and found that the cervix is thick and long. Anyway…not scaring anyone who’s having sweep but she said it would hurt and it did!!! (and I’m not a wuss !)…since then Ive had lots of bloodloss, been walking and had some nookie and I'm still here , but the sweep can take 48 hours so we’ll see . Power walking again today and another sweep tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
Take care all and I'll catch up tomorow (please dont chat so much!) if I don't come on in the morning you know why!

I waited about 2 weeks or so before the scan appointment came through.
As for confirming the pregnancy, nobody could believe that I just told the Dr I was pregnant and he didn't check! One of my friends just kept asking me if I was sure!0 -

Awww, SS she's gorgeous!!
Whoever was asking about scans/appts: I didn't have my booking in until I was 11 1/2 wks going by my LMP. At that appt, she couldn't believe I hadn't had a letter about my scan, so she called the hospital there and then and schedule me an appt for the following wk to do dating scan + nuchal (so I was 12w2d going by LMP) - so don't panic. If you've not gotten anything by the time your booking appt comes, the MW may do it for you...

WM - Thanks so much for the Omeprazole recommendation. My only reason for getting up last night was a trip to the loo. Feeling a bit brighter today. Up early though as, yet again, I forgot to put the recycling out last night. I heard someone outside rattling bottles and realised I really ought to get up and sort it out. Not done the papers, glass and tin for probably a month and was running out of room in the box.
Glad its working for you. I am gutted, woke up last night at 1.30am with acid reflux burn. Couldn't believe it , first time in a week. Had to go get some gaviscon and then try and sleep upright.
Have been feeling really dodgey today. Was driving DS to my mums, and did not feel too good. Something wrong with my head, felt that i couldn't focus properly and had a few floaters infront of my eyes. This had since gone, but at work, i feel that people are talking really loudly and its annoying me and i have been sick, but know that its not linked to heartburn as there was no acid burning at the time of vomitting (sorry TMI). Have booked in to go and see the nurse at the doctors at 1.30 to get my blood pressure checked, can't think what else it could be.
SugarSpun Molly is absolutley gorgeous.0 -
Don't know if others saw this, but hopefully tia doesn't mind:Sorry, DH named her last night. Amber, middle name Violet after my nana. She is a colourful baby lol. And also jaundiced so she is amber
Thought you guys would like to know.

WM - how typical that you solve my problem then get it back yourself. Hope you have a better night tonight.
Sorry to hear about your dodgy morning, glad you are seeing the nurse though. Doesn't sound very pleasant but hopefully she will be able to tell you what it is and stop it happening again. You're not overdoing it are you? My doc has been quite insistent that I not work too hard, or stress myself in any way. And my BP is low, though it is getting higher it is still only 105/60 (pre preg was 80/50).
Hope you feel better soon.
Suzy, glad you're ok but sorry you are still here. Had high hopes that you were getting cuddles but maybe tomorrow you will be back with news. Massive vibes for you to get that girly out!!!
