Morning everyone! I was up half the night but had nothing to post about :(
Finally back to sleep around 6am and then the damned cat started yowling. He's really behaving badly the last couple of weeks but doesn't seem to be in any pain. I just yelled at him and he's in hiding somewhere. Hopefully he stays that way till I calm down and no longer want to turn him into a jaunty hat and mittens.

It's good, in a weird way, to know that everyone else is sore in their delicate regions too.

You must be thrilled, Triggles :) I'm getting close and it is such a weird combination of being a bit apprehensive cause I know it's going to hurt, and worried in case something goes wrong, and really excited to meet the baby! Luckily that last bit's the major bit. I can't wait to meet her and see who she looks like and whether her personality's the way I imagine it from the way we interact now :) So close for you - how will you spend the last day knowing it is the last day?

Maybe we'll get news of a birth from somewhere today? NMS? Tia? Let's hope :) I'm pleased my little monster didn't turn up yesterday, but any day from now on works for me. 9 days maximum and I'll be a mama. I'm just sitting back in amazement :)

I'm going to clean the kitchen today. I've been so tired it's not been getting done, and I'm still tired but it NEEDS it and I had trouble getting back to sleep this morning thinking of my grubby kitchen.

SugarSpun - well, the last day today is being spent relaxing with DS2. He's happily looking through a catalogue (he likes the pictures) right now. MIL will be popping in later to visit and get tips on DS's routine, as she is going to be watching him while I'm in labour. I sent DH into town - he's doing a few last minute errands, eye appointment, and I told him to relax and have a cup of coffee or browse around a bit, as once we have the baby, he won't get the chance for awhile. LOL

I think I'm nervous about the labour pain, but from a weird standpoint. I've always had vaginal births, no pain meds.... I'm hoping to go the same way this time as well. But then I think - oh god, what if I can't do it this time? Will I seem like a huge wimp caving in and getting meds after doing it without previously? I know DH will be supportive no matter what, but I think it's a mental thing. I just keep telling myself not to worry about it, just take it as it comes. Not always easy to do though.

I know what you mean about needing to clean prior though. We spent all weekend cleaning, so for the most part I'm okay with it now. I can't have MIL over and have the house be a tip. Just CAN'T!! The thing is, she's a wonderful woman, and would NEVER EVER say anything at all - she's never been a critical person, always supportive - but I would just FEEL awful to have her see it that way. Does that make sense?

morning girls. luckily my hospital is on my road, 30 second drive or 3 min walk, so in the unlikely event i left it too long i should just get there. no chance of that though lol, i tried perineal massage yesterday, i nearly screamed like a baby :P i dont think my pain threshold is ready for child birth !!!

Just noticed your from Wigan - are you going to RAEI? I work in Wigan

When my OH did Perineum Massage on me the other day it was uncomfy but bearable. Will get him to do it more regularly from 34 weeks, that way I get 4 weeks of it - only problem is he gets a bit horny when we do it. That's fine in week 37 and 38 but not before ;)

Hope my vitamins and RLT turn up today - ordered Saturday night from Holland and Barrett, I want to start the RLT.

Baby is so active at the moment - we are talking about 30 movements already and this is his quiet time!

Hope he's not too much like OH was - apparently he would sleep for a maximum of 2 hours and be awake then for agggggggggggggggggggggges!

Cannot believe I am 32 weeks today - in 6 weeks I will have been given my date to be induced and will be excited but also very nervous!

From everything I hear, non-induced labour is easier to bear pain-wise because it builds up more gradually, whereas with induction there's not the slow increase - if you need the pain meds then no one will think badly of you. You may or may not need them, but don't let any worries about people beyond you and your little one influence your decisions. You know your body and your limits and you'll do great however it turns out.

I know what you mean about the MIL. My mother wanted to come over and will be here on the 9th August for six days. With my father and my brother, which I'm already finding stressful. The apartment's not finished yet, we've come on a really long way since the beginning (Husband is fond of saying that I moved into a place that was half bachelor pad and half storage unit - and it's true) but my mother is judgemental and she will judge. My basic plan is to get as much organising done as possible, and a couple of days before I'll hire an emergency cleaner to take care of the bathroom/kitchen/living room.

It sounds like your MIL is lovely - try not to worry too much :)

I need to get my house sorted out by mid August as my mum is supposed to be coming up for a day or two - she's seen our new house when we viewed it but not actually been since we moved in (may 2008) as its so far and she struggles to get cover for foster kids.

I know I will be the same about wanting the house perfect even though she won't be that bothered!

Problem we have is BIL said he was doing 2wks work experience in August and stayin at ours - but he hasn't said when! He's resitting a few exams in 2 weeks so know he's coming for a couple of days but if he comes when my mum is here I can't take single bed down and get nursery sorted out!!!!

OH did say it might be September to which I said - no chance. I can't have OH and BIL together when I'm in labour! They will just take the mick and make me paranoid that I might poo myself and stuff :o

SJ – glad you enjoyed your hen night. I take it that everyone at it knows you are pregnant?

It was fabulous!! Yeah everyone knows!! We had a bit of confusion with my dates when I got my BFP, it had been 12 weeks since LMP so Dr just came out and said I was probably 12 weeks pg, so of course we told everyone cos we were really excited! Turns out my ov is all over the place and instead of ov 2 weeks after LMP, I had ov-ed 2 MONTHS after LMP!!! So that obviously threw the dates out a bit!!

We would have waited if we'd known but got a bit excited!! Oh well!!!

I work in A-I-M but live in the next town south of Wigan.

am sure the massage would help but you need to do 10mins every night from now!

I got the 30c Arnica clickpak with 84 pillules in - 6c is not as strong but didn't fancy the 200c as you can only really take them around labour time. I'll just take a load of the 30c and then lower dose afterwards.

    Really thirsty today!!

HypnoNu - I worry about my LO listening to Radio 1 all the time in the car, I reckon it'll end up the only thing that makes him sleep - Chris Moyles or Scott Miles whilst I'm driving around!!!!

I just called the delivery doctor's office (I'm outsourced for delvery - typical Germany, my GYN does the prenatal stuff, the delivery doctor does the birth and the midwife does the aftercare) to ask about getting an induction date if I go over, and apparently he is at the hospital this afternoon so we have to mosey on over there, they'll do CTG and various other tests and make a decision based on that. I'm not sure if I understood the receptionist correctly when she said, He has a scheduled delivery this afternoon (this bit I was clear on) anyway so he might induce you today (less clear on this bit). Weird.

Aless - Congrats on team blue! Welcome to the club!

LOL, I think you mean always. I haven't had my scan yet & we're not finding out the sex anyway! :D

Speaking of cats, I could've KILLED mine last night. I think she's doing her very best to prepare us for being new parents or something...woke us up at 2:30am demanding food (she usually does this at 5am) and again at 4:30+5+6am demanding attention. I kept tell hubby (he sleeps on the outside) to be mean to her and shove outta the bedroom b/c that stops her from coming back, but he's too soft. If it had been me, she would NOT have come back in the bedroom, lemme tell you that!
