Nice names GISI! Particularly like the girl's name, but then I seem to prefer loads of girls names to boys. Have found it really difficult to agree on a boys name.
Aw thanks. We found it easy to pick a boy's name but just could not agree on a girl's one. I still want Martha, but that's not gonna happen for Madeleine is the compromise.
What names are you leaning towards?:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Hmm, we have a shortlist of 5 for each, but realistically, I think for a girl either Holly or Emma, and for a boy either Lucas or Oscar (James as a middle name after OH's dad who passed away last year).
But the only definite thing is that we definitely haven't made any definite decisions!! I doubt we will until after the birth - at which point OH will leave it to me after all I have gone through!
We just can't decide!!0 -
I love the name Oscar, if our surname wasn't Wyld it'd be top of our list!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Lucas and Oscar were on our boys shortlist then we found out we're having a girl! Really struggling to come up with names and the couple we've half mentioned people have turned their nose up at so Im not telling them anymore. Once she's named they'll all have to use it anyway whether they like it or not.Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0

We are the same - I told hubby not to tell anyone what we were discussing, but he liked Felix and went around suggesting it to everyone and got completely laughed at! If we had decided to go with that, no-one would have said anything and would just have gotten used to it! I actually really like the name, but everyone just thinks of cats! (Sorry EA!!!)
Don't think you can go for Oscar GISI!!0 -
Love Madeleine too, but my choice is Madison. Loved it ever since my friend told me her cat was named it, after her maiden name, about 10 years ago. Its another one that I am hearing quite a lot of though.
Tabitha was suggested at work today, but mum said it reminds her of a cat. At the rate I am going, she will be called Fred.
Does any one know if chocolate can cause heartburn? I have just had nearly half a big bar of fruit and nut and now i can feel it starting. I've barely finished chewing it. If I have to give up chocolate as well for the next 8 weeks this little girl is in big trouble!!!

Thanks to all who directed me to Quidco - £289.30 since Nov 09 :beer:0 -
Harley chocolates started giving me heartburn, milk gives me it really bad too.
My mum keeps suggesting Matilda, its not a name I personally like but she kept saying it over and over everytime I suggested a name so I told her if she likes it that much why doesnt she have another girl then she can use whatever name she likes :rotfl:Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
I really liked Tabitha too! Like the little girl in Bewitched. OH laughed at it though. And my SIL had a cat called Madison!
I am getting heartburn randomly and don't think it's caused by anything in particular. I find ginger beer helps though!0 -
My dad works with children and is obsessed with suggesting names to us. Every time we see him it's like he has nothing else to say. Apparently he always liked Jennifer or Samantha but because my surname was so long, they didn't work.
Matilda is on our list of 5, but OH doesn't really like it much. Tilly or Matty for short. I quite like it, but wouldn't fight my corner for it as there are other names I like too.0 -
