The cat is now sitting on my lovely brand new bag that I intend to use as a changing bag. He pawed at it till it was deemed comfortable enough and is now sitting on top of it with his tail inside it. Apparently he fears being left behind today.

    Morning everyone.

Well Joe was telling me last night that his Mum has said that she will be coming down the day after the birth to stay for a bit. I'm not really sure about that! I get on really well with her and all but I'm not sure I want anyone there the next day. Besides if everyhting doesn't go according to plan, baby and I might not even be there the day after!! Hmmmm. Think we need a little chat.

He also seems to think the birth will be like the birth scenes in Friends - where all the friends and family are in the waiting room while I'm pushing - I had to tell him that wouldn't be happening!!

SJ - I've told DH to make it VERY clear to his mom that visitors will be on OUR terms. Not meanly, but we'll have people over when we're ready and not sooner (one of the advantages of living 2 hrs from any family is makes it very difficult for people to just 'drop by'!). You need to get your OH to talk to his mom for you and just be polite but firm.

Yeah I said to him that we'd have to see about that cos I wasn't sure I wanted anyone here so quick. We're in Leeds and she's up near Dundee and this will be first grandchild etc so I know she's really excited and probably thinks she'll miss out on a lot being so far away. But I did try to explain last night that it's not so simple that she can just set off as soon as she gets the call to say baby's here!!

I'm sure he'll realise soon enough that it's not such a great idea!

Hold on SJ, his mother just announced she'd be there?! To stay?! For a bit?!

Yeah, I think he needs to explain to her that you'll let her know when it's time. My family booked flights quite early on because they were only £1 each way, but if you're not looking at a £600 difference per person then there's no excuse :)

I do wonder where men get their notions from. Really. Mine's asleep, I'm debating smothering him with a pillow - I just went to vacuum and found the Dyson (my lovely new Dyson) full of brick dust.

Dogs know too!! My dog knew I was pregnant before I got my BFP! Hes not left me alone since then, I think I must smell different or something
Have had a bursting sore head for 2 days now, its horrible. Have got midwife tomorrow for 32 wk appointment so think I'll mention it to her then. Hope its just a migraine and not the start of something (BP is fine today tho).

NMS- Hope everything has went OK
Glam- Well done on the pram, tho think SC may charge you an arm and a leg for the bits you need, ebay might be your best bet.
SS- How exciting would that be if he started you off today!

    Can't remember anything else.....

lou - why would you need a c-section? (and how can they determine that this early?)
