Thanks! Oh I will be fine as I can go up to £3750 overdrawn on Natwest - just they charge me 18%+ interest, so I hate doing it. The freelance pay could come in tomorrow. It's two new clients, but I have no reason to expect delays. So I shouldn't complain really. I just HATE using my NW overdraft, and I hate the uncertainty of thinking I'm managing (just) then realising OH needs bailing out once again.
Anyway, mustn't stop, I'm on a housework challenge with buddiebabe!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

freelance money still not here..... and I've just taken on another writing job to do next week alongside my full-time job, eek. I know it will be stressful but I have no choice.
I'm filling in an application form for 'grant aid' towards DD2's athletics costs. I am trying to estimate travel costs - anyone know an easy way to convert miles per gallon to miles per litre? Specifically if we drive 400 miles in a car that does 30 miles to the gallon, how many litres of diesel are we using??? I don't know why this simple sum has floored me! Asking for money doesn't come easy and I can't help thinking, why on earth would they give money to someone for their hobby?
I went to Brighton today for a work meeting, it was lovely to see the sea.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

30 miles to the gallon is equivalent to 1 mile to 0.15l. So if you travel 400 miles that's 400 * 0.15 = 60 litres of fuel.

One of my invoices has been paid, woo hoo! Unfortunately just £300, wish the other £800 had come through but never mind.
I received the info for a writing job I have to do next week and am really anxious as it's a MASSIVE job, and one that will require focus, not ideal for doing in evenings and on trains etc. I might have to take leave from the day job, which I would rather avoid. Anyway, I can't back out now.
Annoyingly, I got another offer of work today which I had to turn down. I am rather regretting accepting the full-time job when I could have had a three-day-a-week one, leaving two days for freelancing, which is better paid. OH WELL..... no point regretting things.
I've submitted an application for DDs' athletics expenses, hope to get £150 from that. I've also won prizes in two competitions - a champagne tea for two at Hampton Court and a Fairtrade pamper pack. Would rather have won £10,000 but these are welcome too.
I am working at the shop tomorrow (again this is stupid - I should be making a headstart on the writing job). And I want to go round the house with an energy-use tester thing I have borrowed from the library. It apparently calculates the actual cost per minute of each appliance, if I can work out how to use it. Also bully OH into putting some things on ebay.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620
