I have listed 11 of OH's books, with his consent, at an average price of £28.25. Let's hope they sell! That was just one shelf, I have no doubt he could part with many many more. I will give him the cash from the first to sell to encourage him.

Wow, thats really good! I hope you can find a way to pull things up from where they are, Seaxwyn, but at least the figures are heading in the right direction. What I've realised more than ever, is that our lives are more important than the figures. Not just a platitude, either. Take care xxx

    Thanks kj
Unfortunately we have a tsunami of extra expenses hitting us in April.

Athletics club dues and UKA affiliation... £75
    DD3 Year 7 Camp... £99
DDs 1&2 Year 11 Leavers' Ball £39.50 each AND dress code is 'strictly black tie'...
and now, DD3 has been invited to go skiing with friends over Easter - no cost for her travel or accomm but would need to buy lift pass and equipment hire. Of course she is really keen to go and I'd love for her to have the experience, and this makes it much harder to say no to the leavers' ball for the others....

That's on top of MOT and car tax (hope OH's brother will pay for that, he said he would but has gone a bit quiet of late) and all the usual massive expenses.

    Aaargh.........

But for now you are below £30k, so we will gloss over April's expenses just for now (skiing? nah, what's that!) and will celebrate the reducing debt :j

Yep, celebrate the reducing debt - you can't control the future - celebrate this, you worked hard for it.

Alas, the debt is now £30,007.72.

And I have accepted the invitation for DD3 to go skiing. I know we can't afford it but it's a wonderful opportunity. I am now googling ski hire sites, anyone know if it is better to book in advance online/by phone or wait til you get there? They will be in La Rosiere, France.

It doesn't usually make much difference, in my experience.
