Thanks Dawn, and it will be >30k again, it will, it will!

None of his books have sold yet but here's hoping. Thanks for the reminder, I will pilfer a few more off the shelves now.

Awww..... his books might take it down again. I had a play transcript that I bought for £12 that sold for £30. You never know!

That was a delightful surprise when I logged on this morning, as my child benefit has arrived earlier than I expected, and a payment hasn't gone out. I hope it's not my bank playing an April Fool on me!

I hope it will REMAIN under 30k throughout April. I'm far from confident as we have a lot going out this month. But starting the month lower than expected is very encouraging.

I'm continuing to get a regular trickle of freelance work I can fit around normal work, at £25/hour so I'm very grateful for that.

OH has six days driving over the holidays - that's four or five hours a day at £7/hour so not great but will keep him busy and engaged with other people.

I'm looking forward to the long weekend, even though I'm hosting a big family do on Monday and not looking forward to that much. Lots of shopping and cooking required.

    Happy April everyone!

Edited to add: That's a drop of £882.17 from last month. Go me!

What an excellent, positive start to the month. I keep my fingers firmly crossed that you stay in the 20s xx

    Hi Seax,

I'm getting there slowly with stuff for OH. Will have something sensible done tomorrow. Apologies for the delay and double whoop on the under £30k again.

Hi, Seaxwyn. Have only today had a chance to catch up on people's diaries. You've had some ups and downs, but sound much more positive than you did last year. You've done fantastically with reducing the debt - I know from your point of view it seems only a small reduction, but it is reducing. You must be exhausted from a full-time job, freelancing, child-rearing and husband watching, so try to enjoy a bit of time off this weekend. It's great that you can still find time to do some freelance work - and the short time you have available to do it must make you much more focussed. Keep up the good work.

I'm trying to stay on the straight and narrow and keeping up with people's diaries - when I don't find it demoralising that other people seem to cope so much better than I do, I find it very inspirational. More inspirational than demoralising. And other people's triumphs are always applauded from here - although I'm a bit shy at coming out and saying so.

How is it going at the writing group? Did you write your short story?
    "Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.

Wordsmith - don't feel demoralised. Most of us don't cope as well as you think! We all have our very bleak, and very wobbly moments.....often frequent ones! What is good though, is that the people on here pull us through - they encourage us by reminding us of what we have already achieved, what positive things we have got going for us, etc, and it stops us from diving under the duvet never to be seen again!

So don't be afraid about posting. You've been through a tough time, no one is going to be expecting every single post to be full of funny tales and positive actions! Post on your diary, and/or those of others, and you will soon get the benefit too x
