I was very pleased to get your message last night!
As for "cheating"....hmm, well I know where you are coming from, BUT, over the last 6 or 7 years that we've been here, how many REAL TOUGH lessons have we learned? How many years have gone by with giving up/going without/eating bizarre menu plans out of jars of "things" that found their way lurking in the back of cupboards/blah blah blah.
No one has "cheated". We've done our time, we've learned our lessons, we know that tax has to be paid, and overdrafts are expensive, and that we can enjoy good times with our offspring in ways that don't involve the credit card.
And along the way, as you point out, our kids have learned too. They know the true value of things - we've actually given them lessons in life that will pay back dividends in abundance in future years.
Cheating? I don't think so!

Hi Seaxwyn, I was so happy to read this :j
Not in the circumstances you'd have expected maybe, but it's hardly cheating as others have said. You've worked so incredibly hard for it and I'm glad it has come at last.
Lots of love and best wishes for the next phase!

Congratulations, Seax. I can't put into words how happy I am for you. You have had such a tough time, you really deserve this and a great future. Good luck!"Green pastures are before me,

I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0
