Well they do pay me decently, it's not their fault it's not enough! I do feel bad about the freelance work as I'm sure it's sapping my energy - but thank heaven I've got it! I've just got in from work now and settling down to a 3-4 hour editing job.

TGIF! It's the first weekend for a while when I have had NO freelance work so I'm looking forward to cleaning the house and writing a story.

I have got 3 days freelance work coming next Friday - they've generously given me two weeks to do it in too. It's a godsend to have this work. Also OH's brother has agreed to pay the costs of getting our car through the MOT. So another relief.

I think the anti=depressants are having a good effect on OH. He has sorted out some boxes of stuff I've been nagging him about for nine months - and given me a boxful of books for Amazon. He's putting all his old sailing equipment on Ebay. Now if only he would decide to sell his vinyl......

It sounds like things are coming together for you. Enjoy your weekend, and if you fancy coming over to clear my house while you are in the mood, then please feel free :D

So much for my plans to spend the weekend cleaning. I had just got in from my run when I got a call from the corner shop - could I go in and cover whilst they dealt with a domestic crisis. So I've been there all day at £6/hour. DS came to help me and made £4.50 in tips! Now have an errand to run in town then will get hoovering. It would really buck me up to have a tidy house.

Argh, it's all gone pear-shaped. Only the 9th of the month and am currently up to my (high) overdraft limit on the A&L account and teetering on £0 at Natwest. Bills are flooding in but my freelance payments are not! I have £1250 billed, when oh when will they pay up?

OH being useless as usual... has just been shocked to find he is only a few pounds from his OD limit. He doesn't keep an eye on it at all and doesn't keep account of payments he has made so is astonished when they exit his account a few days later. And is being really unrealistic about his job prospects, applying for things that I can see he has no hope of getting. Meanwhile, he has spent hours 'getting ready' to list things on ebay but have those listings appeared? No! AAAARGH!!!!!

I shouldn't vent as actually he is making an effort in some ways. He has started making the packed lunches every day, which I really appreciate. I just want to have a little vent as I am working SO HARD and still struggling for every bloomin' penny.

    Grrrrrrr.

Vent away - it is your diary and that is what it is here for. Again, I just wish there was something positive I could do or say that would make a difference to things.
