I am not sure but I'm guessing many women would not find the thought of having a relationship with an openly Bi guy very palatable? call me old fashioned if you like.

May I ask why you'd think that?

From what I know, the main problem the women I know whose partners are bi have is that there's a certain self-consciousness involved when you know that your partner's probably better at a certain sexual act than you are but you still have to do it to him cause he can't do it to himself.

Edit: I agree Shambler and emmzi, fidelity and sexual orientation are separate issues. It's insulting to imply that people who are bi are unable to be faithful to one partner.

Well I'm just surmising and as such, I'll leave it to women to express opinions on it for now.

I think though if boy meets girl and they are getting on swimmingly, then boy says he likes boys as well and OMG he has also had sexual contact with men,i think it would put a bit of a dampener on the relationship for most women..i dunno..over to you girls. Maybe I'm just too traditional?

I am late into this thread and haven't read all the posts but wanted to understand.

    As a hetorosexual man I fancy women...duh!

I am in a relationship with someone and would not think about being unfaithful to her.

This doesn't mean I don't fantasize having sex with other women, I think it is natural for men to want to have sex with many women and I wouldn't be upset or surprised if my girlfriend fantasized about other men.

I can't see how a bisexual man would find it OK to be unfaithful to his partner whether that be with another man or a woman.

Again I would say it is OK to fantasize but you seem to say that being bisexual means that you can't be faithfull???

Is it different for bisexual people?

The OP has replied, situation is resolved. This is where reading the whole thread benefits ;)

It wouldn't bother me. I've always chosen partners based on who they are and what we could make of our relationship, not who they slept with in the past. I'd insist on an STI test if he'd been promiscuous, but then I'd insist on an STI test anyway. I'm like that after a friend of a friend (married since age 19 to the only girl he'd been with) turned up sterile from gonorrhoea and HIV positive at 28 because she was creatively supplementing her income and didn't tell him.

    Ignorance is bliss

Not all gay / bi couples are into anal sex, rather than post stereotypical garbage, why not educate yourself by doing some research instead? there's plenty of free info on the internet.

In fact, don't bother, ignorance suites you better

I dont care what other people do. Each to their own i say. Having said that, i dont think i mentioned anal sex? I just said sexual contact.I am more interested in what women think about dating Bi guys and/or finding out in a relationship that their man is Bi. Obviously there are some Bi guys who chose to hide it from their partners and others who expect to have their cake and eat it. I am content to wallow in my ignorance.

I wouldn't judge someone on their sexual past, neither would I expect someone to judge me on mine.

It really is a sweeping statement to assume someone who is bisexual is promiscuous. Just because they are attracted to both sexes, doesn't mean they are getting their leg over with a different person each night.

    I'm a woman, I wouldn't be comfotable with it.

Perhaps I would worry that like the OP he would have trouble staying sexually faithful:confused:

Hang on..i didnt say Bi people were any more or less promiscuous than "str8" types !

I'm just querying from ladies...if you met a guy and he mentioned he was Bi and had had sexual contact with men in the past, would that be a barrier to your relationship?

    and further

If you were actually in a relationship and sometime downline male partner fessed to being Bi and having had sexual contact with men in the past, would that affect/end the relationship?

Thats all im asking. I'm not seeking to brand anyone.
