No thank you, and if my memory serves me right this is a MS site? an i to am entitled to free speech, OP asked what people thought, and i told them what i thought, I do not have a "soap-box" and whatever you do in your own time, is your business, not anyone elses, i have told them what i thought, so let people have a opinion, and do not try and push your views down anyones throat. I myself am happily married with 2 children,so do yourself a favour and rant at somebody who cares, i put my 2pennys worth in, and said what i thought, so don't bother replying to my post, i am not interested in your opinion, good day to you.

An update for the genuine members who offered support and advice though out this thread , I mentioned in my OP my partner & I have been together for over 15 years, I felt the time was now right to be honest and open with him, and therefore I've now spoken to my him regarding my bisexuality, I was surprised how understanding he really was.

at this stage, I've no intention of looking for female sex, however, following a lengthy discussion with him, we'll deal with whatever comes our way when it does, having the support and understanding from my partner has confirmed how strong our relationship really is.

I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, I'm under no illusion it may be a bumpy ride ahead, however, I have confidence in my OH and the strength of our relationship, we will come through any future difficulties.

I'd like to say a personal thanks to those who have been supportive.

I am late into this thread and haven't read all the posts but wanted to understand.

    As a hetorosexual man I fancy women...duh!

I am in a relationship with someone and would not think about being unfaithful to her.

This doesn't mean I don't fantasize having sex with other women, I think it is natural for men to want to have sex with many women and I wouldn't be upset or surprised if my girlfriend fantasized about other men.

I can't see how a bisexual man would find it OK to be unfaithful to his partner whether that be with another man or a woman.

Again I would say it is OK to fantasize but you seem to say that being bisexual means that you can't be faithfull???

Is it different for bisexual people?

I think you are working from the incorrect assumptiion that all people/ all heterosexual people/ some subset thereof/ SHOULD be faithful. Or WANT to be faithful. Or care at all about monogamy.

As long as everyone is cimmunicated with fully and agrees, who cares?

Sexual orientation has nothing to do with it.

I am not sure but I'm guessing many women would not find the thought of having a relationship with an openly Bi guy very palatable? call me old fashioned if you like.

Very interesting Emmzi. I think you highlight how each of us has an opinion on what is 'normal' but what is this in the light of other peoples normals whether heterosexual, bisexual or homosexual?

Loyalty to a partner is separate from sexual preference, well of course now you mention it, this is a separate issue.

I'm going to do some research ;)
