  • I know Halifax cash machines has a fault on Friday as my wife withdrew £250 and it only gave her £140.

The lady said there was a fault and she took her details but she banks with Natwest so Natwest said it can take two weeks to get the money from Halifax.

Seems like a lot are having problems all over the place :(

That means a single Halifax cash machne had a fault. Could be a bent banknote catching in the dispensers.

Not something that implies every cash machine with an "X" on it in the Northern hemisphere is faulty.

Although I have a small amount of credit on my mastercard account the silly statement still shows the maximum credit available is still less than my credit limit !! Still no balances from earlier statements. Will they ever get it right?

I've tried logging on to Halifax and get redirected to a dodgy 'survey' site with the promise of winning a prize.
    Anyone else had that?
Tried phoning on-line helpdesk at Halifax and been kept waiting 10 mins, still no reply, just running up my phone bill

I didn't have any problems when I logged on today. I'm not a techie (far from it!), but are you making sure that you type the "halifax.co.uk" into the URL address bar yourself rather than using favourites etc?

More problems with HBOS so thought it might be worth letting the good folks here know.

I made a faster payment from my RBS account to my Bank of Scotland credit card last night. The payment showed as being made. This morning when I logged on to the RBS the amount had been returned to the originating account.

I've just spoken to BofS online who confirmed that many faster payments made to their credit cards last night and today had been rejected. They said that they had, by contacting many of their competitors, managed to recover some of the payments. However, if the funds had been returned to the account from which the payment had been made it must be sent again.
