Wedding diet accountability thread

OK so i know I need to lose weight for my wedding but i can't convince myself that getting out of bed at 6 instead of 6.30 and going to the gym is a good idea, or that I don't need a twix with my tea in the morning.

I have 14 weeks left and need to lose about a stone, so should be easily achievable, but since i started trying to lose weight (4 months) I've only lost 7lb-not very good!

My idea is that we could support each other, and check on how we're each doing, anyone want to join me?

xx

  • Hi, I'm not getting married until Aug/Sept 2010 but I'd definitely be up for joining a diet thread. I want to lose as much as weight as possible before I go wedding dress shopping. In an ideal world I'd like to lose 2 1/2 stone but I think any weight lost is better than none! x

I am up for this. I have lost 8lb already and want well need to lose at least another 2 stone to get back to where i was when we met. I have been calorie counting and it has worked for me, did try Alli but I lost the same amount calorie counting so I don't recommend it and it certainly isn't money saving xx
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

I know it isn't very moneysaving, but I joined weight watchers end of jan this year and have so far lost 42.5lb!! I have tried and failed before I dont know what is different this time round though, something just kind of clicked. I still have wine, crisps etc..and i'm losing so doing something right obviously!!

Am def up for mutual motivation - as i still have another 2 stone to lose to get me back to my 1st pre pregnancy weight, but I have an all inc 2 week pre wedding honeymoon/holiday to get through first!

I haven't been exercising much either, I bought an eliptical strider of good old ebay for £12 so really need to do 30mins on that - thats what i need motivation for

rinroo you are so right, something does just click doesn't it? Although I have one relaxed day a week, it feels so normal to eat healthily now, and I feel so much better in myself, and I know that I am going to do it this time. I think it's the thought of the photos that the kids will want to see and feeling disappointed with them if I thought I was still too overweight.

And congrats on your fabulous weightloss, I started at the beginning of this year too after getting engaged on Christmas Day, but have only really had any success since the beginning of June. x

hi there, those of you taking alli - go and see your doctor. they will be able to prescribe xenical which is the double strength of alli on prescription.

My WW weigh in is a Thurs too. I am not taking anything - you'll be surprised how quick the weight will come off as long as you track(write down) everything you eat and drink.

When I first started i was cooking a meal for me, a separate one for OH and then another for the boys, now we all eat the same, and they dont even realise that they are all eating ww recipes!! H2b has lost nearly a stone just by me making him eat what I eat.

You'll have to note your weight loss on here every Thurs! I update my sig every week, i think its motivational seeing it in writing what you've lost.

Chardonnay - My gp wouldn't give me that even though I had a BMI that classed me as obese my BMI score wasn't high enough - quite glad as the side effects I read about scared me lol
