did that age old thing where you get on the scales a day early at the wrong time and think is that it??? 2lb off. weigh in day is due tomorrow after work.

justifications ...... i will be good today

1 i had wine yesterday- always causes slight gain following day
    2 it is star week
3 it is the wrong time and weight can flucuate throught the day
4 i have stuck to my points and 2lb is a heathly loss
5 i am an unheathly weight and this is not going to change in a week

i knew i shouldn't have got on the scales - it is self destructive- i'm attempting to stop the spiral

  • I have been exercising and increasing my exercise(cross trainer)daily for 7 days.I have been watching my calorie intake for 5 days since getting measured for my dress(what a shock that was).I weighed myself last night and have lost 6lbs already.

Because I know how long I have to do on the cross trainer to burn of x calories I am being really good with what I eat.Last night when we were sitting watching TV OH went and got his usual suppertime snack of coke, crisps and a chocolate bar.I really really thought I wanted a chocolate bar but I went and made a cheese & tomato sandwich instead, nimble sandwich with flora light and half fat cheese and a whole tomato.
Very pleased with myself for showing a little restraint.

  • shelovestobuystuff - you sound like you're in a great frame of mind and should be an inspiration to us all, lol.
Seriously though, well done, I would've caved if my OH came in eating that lot!

  • It wasnt easy.I am upset with myself for craving the chocolate 5 days in to my new diet. Its about being strict with myself and thinking about those split second decisions. Most of my diet is substituting healthier stuff for fatty stuff, like half fat cheese for full fat and fruit or a healthy sandwich instead of chocolate. It would take 3 out of my 4 daily cross trainer sessions to burn off that chocolate bar.Thats what stopped me.

Can I join???! OH proposed two weeks ago and my weight has always been a contentious issue between us. I've lost 2.5stone so far then hit a plateau I couldn't get off so now I have 12m to lose the remaining 5.5stone

I'm going to do Slimming World (it's ingrained in me) but with smaller portions.

Bear with the cravings - they do stop! I've completely lost my sweet tooth now though I fancy white bread and/or crisps fairly often!

  • I could be completely evangelical about daily plate :) People usually look at me funny but it's fab and it's freeeeeeee you just dont see what you eat till you write it all down (and most of its already there), was an eye opener for me :D Have to say their forums although all very nice are not as lovely as this one, everyone is so helpful here!!!

Not counting this week as I'm flu-ed up. And its given me a huge appetite.
Also means the doggies arent getting walked - our house is mayhem :rotfl:

Next week (assuming it's not the pig flu ;) )I'm starting from fresh.
Even Paulie wants to start so hopefully together ;) we'll get it sorted ;)
he's even mentioned meal planning!!!! hmmmm if he's all for it - should be easy. Off to the OS forum for me ;)

However I have watched the Biggest Loser Final tonight from yesterday adn Fiona looks amazing so this has motivated me. Let's burn some fat people!! :rotfl:

taadaa - check out the daily plate as you can fill in what you've eaten and it tracks it all for you, and you can fill in what exercise you have done and they'll tell you how many calories you've burned.

i'm blooming knackered, we took mil shopping today for her outfit:eek:. we we're walking around the gyle and livingston for more than 4 hours and she didn't get anything other than slippers:rotfl:.

we saw loads of nice outfits but she said she wouldn't wear them again, which turned into a joke as she has a wardrobe full of stuff she has only worn once. she didn't want a skirt suit or trouser suit, which she had more chance of re-wear with either the trousers or skirt. the dresses either had too thing straps / too bling or too short. they had to be below the knee she says as she's 69. the thing is she doesn't look anywhere near her age and on the knee would be fine.

she is soo fussy, so looks like next week we are off to edinburgh to hunt this elusive outfit. anyone got any tips?

then my mum & dad & brother are coming tomorrow for dad & brother to get measured for their kilts. so we had to majorly tidy up as our living room looked like an ebay warehouse - selling everything to pay for wedding:rotfl:. we joke we'll be left with our sofas:rotfl:. i then spent 2 hours washing the carpets with our vax and i feel like i've been at the gym for hours.
