There was no parcel tracking email or etc - is this some new system that doesn't do that anymore? The previous parcels have been with our DHL driver who is here every week and leaves next door's parcels with me & vice versa, we're miles from anywhere else.
I also ordered falafel and won't be getting it, weirdly although I ticked several alternatives to put in instead of anything out of stock I'm getting a refund. Wastes the postage a bit but nevermind.
Well you're lucky to be getting a refund. I'm still waiting for a reply from last Friday. £5 worth of OOS items replaced with £1 worth of substitutions. I've e-mailed twice and left a message on their forum and still no reply.
Previous orders had reasonable substitutions but I'm really fed up with not knowing if I will recieve what I've ordered and even more disappointed not to have an automatic refund.
It's such a good concept overall and I've still saved money but this has put me off ordering again.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -
Their communications tend to be all or nothing - either impressively prompt replies to emails (and recently an answered phone too) or long silences.
I had a reply within a couple of hours to an email today, but still nothing in response to last week's.0 -
I had 3 seperate refund emails in 2 hours this morning. The Australian licorice is addictive and divine, glad I ordered some more0

I picked up an order today and everything was present!!! :j
Almost everything (apart from Wagon Wheels) were healthy things - felafal, cous cous, burgermix, nut roast, orzo etc.
To say I'm pleased is an understatement! Now where to store it...........0 -
Recieved an email from them last night.
If you spend over £30 they will give you a free lucky box.
Hi
We've got some big changes happening right now and it's all about delivering your orders.
I've been striving for some time now to give a service where I can turn an order around in 24 hours, give a 1 hour delivery slot and send you a text to remind you. I'm pleased to announce now we have such a service.
Basically, we are now shipping our parcels with a 1 hour delivery window PLUS a text to your mobile on the morning it is being delivered asking if it is convenient. It's an interactive text service where you can text back when is a good time to deliver. Text's are charged at your normal mobile tariff.
We have been trialing the service since last week and I would LOVE you to try it out.
We have got some great products in today like 500ml coke. For a view on whats in today click here
For a view on whats new in this week like snack pack (all ready buttered!) soreen fuit loaf click here
Also, as a promotion this week every customer who spends over £30 will get a FREE LUCKY BOX
Enjoy the new service
Thanks Dan0 -
It cetainly is very annoying not knowing what items we are going to get until the order arrives.
My last order was especially annoying. I try to make my order up to the 28kg mark to make full use of the £5.25 delivery charge. But when my order arrived, all the "heavy" items (such as bottles of fruit juices, drinks)were missing as OOS. These made up for about half the weight of my order, so I paid £5.25 for half an order.
Even more annoying was that instead of receiving a full case of 20 items, I had 12 of these items loose in the box. I am told that this was done when the packers can't fit the full case in and to save charging for a 2nd box!!0 -
Well I finally got my refund and an apology this morning so AF are back in my good books!
I think I will try and resist ordering for a while though due to lack of storage space!Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -
I also had no dispatch e-mail for my last order, I ordered last week and the parcel turned up on Monday, yes that is pretty quick, but I had no e-mail from either DHL or AF to say it was coming. DHL have not actually delivered my parcels for months, it's just a guy in a white van, I guess they pass them on to local couriers. The order I plced last month did have a dispatch e-mail from DHL but the tracking didn't work so I still had no idea when it would arrive, I got the dispatch e-mail from AF a week and a half after the order arrived... On the plus side, everything that did arrive was well packed, but all too often I do end up way below the 28kg because of out-of-stock items. I am starting to get deja vu, I think we already had this same discussion about a year ago! :rotfl:0

sitting here waiting hopefully... if it is in a white van that might explain why it didn't go next door. The postcard is from DPD, but the last tracking email was also DPD but delivered by DHL. Premium rate phone number to call too.
on their site http://www.dpd.co.uk/about-dpd/press_centre/content_public_relations-news.htm
DPD becomes the first courier company to provide one hour home delivery slot Hundreds of thousands of Brits can now look forward to a better home shopping experience thanks to DPD, who’ve become the first parcels company to provide customers with a one hour window for their home deliveries.
Launched today across the UK, home shoppers who buy from retailers shipping with DPD can receive a free SMS or email giving them a precise one hour window in which the driver will arrive. Big name retailers among the 1,500 companies who’ve already signed up for the service include:- mobile phones giant Three
- online gift company iwantoneofthose.com
- DSGi plc, whose brands include Dixons and The TechGuys
The scale of home delivery hassles experienced by UK householders was highlighted in a recent survey by pollsters Opinion Matters which found that of 1,369 adults:- 87% have waited in all day for a delivery without knowing when it would arrive and 23% of us have done it four times a year or more
- 82% find it ‘frustrating’ or ‘very frustrating’ to wait at home for a delivery, not knowing when it will arrive
- 10.2% have fabricated an excuse to stay off work and wait for a delivery. Excuses included: ‘my gerbil has died’, ‘my budgie is dying’, plus less imaginative porkies such as ‘migraines’, ‘waiting for a plumber’, and ‘a dodgy prawn sandwich’.
- 80% have had to go to a parcel depot or Royal Mail office in the last 12 months to collect a parcel. And 27.5% have made five visits or more.
on my post card it states redelivery options cost £5 or £10 for a slot0 -
Ok, it just came, nice and new driver, definitely a new company, all is well.
Except I ordered 30 packs of Granose meatfree sausage mix and they've got milk in somehowMy mistake. Some of my vegetarian friends are v fussy over use by dates and these have Dec 09 on. I thought I was ordering Sosmix, which makes a fabulous pie in layers with mushrooms, onions, toms etc, 10 mins in the microwave brilliant.
Now gotta shop & scan it :eek:0
