There is an article in today's Sunday Post( Scotland) about out of date food. Mentions Approved Food and that they had tested loads of food and it was yummy. We could have told them that. So now everyone knows.0

definitely a case of salmonella 1 adios 0
It's past its "best before" date, not past it's sell by date - hence no risk.0 -
How is it possible that some people still have no idea of the difference between 'use-by' and 'best-before' dates?! Personally I would rather have the out-of-date food, slimming pills are a lot more dangerous in my opinion...0

I gave my son a dozen or so packets of rice, pasta and cous-cous from my last order.
Next time I saw him I asked if he'd eaten any yet.
He said he'd thrown it away because his oh 'noticed' it was of date  DOH!!
I'm still eating it and its fine, the only way you can tell is because it says a date on the pack.
Food tastes fine.
Just had an order delivered 10mins ago. My first with the 1hr slot delivery.
Email said between 11.56 and 12.56.
It arrived about 12.18. So pretty good timing I'd say.
Haven't opened it yet.......................dreading where to put it all

I'm the same LilacLil - all cupboards stuffed full and I'm on a diet, so I can't even eat it all quickly.0

you eaten those refried beans yet! :rotfl:
As for putting the stuff away - I've got orange juice on the floor under the kitchen table, my slow cooker and rice cooker have packets in them, some packets I've opened and stuffed an inner from a second packet in to save room (nut roast) Apart from A F stuff, I've got coffee jars under the bed & toilet rolls under my desk. Next parcel I'm going to have to start on the garage.
Happily my husband gave 5 packets of sausage mix away today0 -
Has anyone tried the Mrs. Crimbles pastry mix? I just noticed it is wheat and gluten free and other gluten free products I have tried didn't go down well.0

Hi, I have a load of their meat free chicken bake. I had ordered some and the also sent a box as a substitute. I just wondered if anyone had any ideas how to "jazz" it up a bit.0

Chalky - no, not started on the refried beans yet. Will wait till I need a good clear out - of cupboard space.
Can vouch for the manhattan? hot dogs. Giant size things, each one fills two hot-dog rolls and all 80 - 90% meat - not 'mechanically recovered'. Yum with loads of mustard.0 -

The muffin mixes were appreciated here - OH made a batch of 4 packets of mix with some blueberries from Costco - yummy! Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0
