They have luxury lucky boxes now for £4.99
http://www.approvedfood.co.uk/TRUE_BARGAINS/Luxury_Lucky_Box0 -
Having been very pleased with my first order i placed a second for 15 bottles of oilive oil (don't ask!) When they arrived there were two smaller boxes inside one big box. One of the interior boxes arrived okay, but the other box.... the bottles were smashed and oil was everywhere (and ended up all over my kitchen table and floor) and it took hours to clean up, I even cut myself on the glass. I have sent them a message (Thursday 18th Feb) but still haven't had a reply yet and I'm not a happy bunny.
I didn't even get the 2 free scholl packs they said i would. I think that was the second and last time i shall order form them. Based upon th approved foods discussions and my own two orders it is my understanding that it's sods law as to whether you recieve your order in full and undamaged, or not.
I'm not even sure i was reimbursed for a missing item (was not given a substitute as requested not to recieve substitutions) on my first order. Am waiting for my bank statement.
I don;t think i shall shop with them again.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

My family love refried beans, and I'm tempted by the mega 3180g tins at 99p each.
Surely they should be safe at the hands of the carriers?0 -
on HUKD someone posted an article in The Sun about A F so I expect they are swamped. The article was about as acurate/current as you'd expect :rotfl:0

Well my first order arrived today and I'm very pleased with it. Everything was securely packed - yes I ordered some olive oil as well and that was individually bubble-wrapped inside the inner cartons. My outer box was dented on one corner, had obviously been dropped by the carrier, but the oil and everything else survived fine.
A couple of small things OOS, so marked as being refunded on the invoice (will wait and see) and one small 29pence thing, ticked as being in the parcel, wasn't. CBA chasing that!
I've already tried one of the Aynsley H. macaroni cheese packs - fine provided you don't mind the occasional bit of macaroni still being a bit crunchy. Maybe I hadn't stirred it well enough!
So all in all I think that's a thumbs up for the contents. And the delivery firm was good - had an email saying that the parcel had left the depot for delivery and another one afterwards saying it had been delivered and who had signed for it. Very efficient I thought.0 -
this made me chuckle

99% of Approved Foods items are available in cheap shops and home bargains. A lot of the items are cheap and fattening with not very nice ingredients. Manufacturers want to get rid of these items which haven't sold for one reason or another.Cant understand why anybody would pay for delivery of these inferior products.OK one or two items might be passable but most can be bought individually from cheap shops.0
