  • That's a pity about those little milks, Appleblossom. I ordered those and mine are excellent. Mum got some too so I'll get her to check theirs.

I have too noticed the addition of a few pence to order the total when paying by google checkout.
I am sure I have read somewhere on google checkout that they add a percentage to total, which couldexplain the extra few pence added.

I have also ordered the little carton of UHT milk when they were 2 boxes for 99p (although when i last looked they were 1 for 99p)
Bought for OH to take to work, as he moves around alot and there is not always milk provided for staff.
He says they are great, but will have to check 2nd box.

  • Gosh, they've had some yummy looking things recently. We're eagerly awaiting the Ainsley Harriott meal making kits, and nowI've logged on again and seen all the amazing grains selections. Has any one got any more info about them? We are vegan, and I try and find out the ingredients on things before ordering but have had a few mistakes before now. So any info before I do yet another order... and goodness knows where its going to go .. would be very much appreciated.

If you let me know which of the products you are looking for information on, I'll do my best to give you the details............ It will be tomorrow now as I am working from home this evening and just about to pack up for the day, however I may be able to sort out the details when I'm back in the office tomorrow.

The ainsley harriott sticky rice is fab!! I have found my new addiction!!

I have been advised that this is something to do with the adding up of the multibuy products. Say an item is 20p each or 6 for £1, the individual price for the multibuy item works out as 0.166666666666666666 (goes on a bit longer than that but you get the idea). When we input that into the system, the database rounds it up to 2 decimal places - £0.17 which multiplied by 6 = £1.02

We have no problem with refunding these sums but currently do not have a mechanism in place to sort that out automatically.

  • Oh dear, that must mean that it's likely that everyone is being overcharged several times in every order if they buy more than one of each item. :(
No wonder you're being overun by emails, you poor lassy.

Well if anyone can get that mechanism sorting out then I'm thinking that you're probably the girl to do it!
I'm hoping they pay you extra for all this overtime and get you some office help soon.

I'm hoping to get chance to have a word with Dan today (he is in but with somone at the moment) - the simplest solution would be to manually round them down when the details are input to the database - if that is possible.

Not being a techie myself, I have to check with the guys what is, and also isn't possible.

I have emailed Approved Food about this, but just in case they don't have a chance to alter a figure before the weekend, and if anyone was planning to go mad ordering gallons of the olive oil (as I did) it's actually Netto's, with a RRP of £2.48, not the £4.99 listed, and it's not great. Not at all off, but rather bitter and definitely for cooking rather than dipping.

If you Google it you get to a review on this site:

The "Torento" Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Netto is definitely substandard, it is described as being Intensely Fruity, with a warm peppery flavour. Nothing could be further from the truth, it is flat, with a bitter aftertaste that actually leaves a slight burning sensation in the throat - reminiscent of the oils which are extracted using chemical means ( it states on the label that it is extracted by only mechanical means, as any Olive oil for consumption should).

    That's spot on.

Oh dear I just had four bottles of the oil arrive today. Haven't tasted it yet though.

I must admit I was left with a huge feeling of disappointment today as the Bisto gravy and Ainsley Harriot rice I ordered were out of stock and £5 worth of goods were substituted with £1 worth of Orange squash.
I have e-mailed but no reply.
Lots of citrus cous cous arrived and it seems to be incredibly intensly lemony and not quite what I expected :(
