got my first order about an hour ago, just finished putting everything away.
Very pleased, ordered Thursday morning, arrived today... good service.
Everything was well packed, all the glass jars were well bubble wrapped.
The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was the lucky box, alright for 50p but I got 3 packs of skips crisps, 1 pot noodle soup and 4 cartons of some sort of paste for cheese which was a year out of date and which none of us will eat.
Will definately be ordering again.
Thanks approved food.0 -

Got part of my order 1 of 2 boxes, the driver said the other one got damaged and the orange juice was all over his van, however when I opened the box I did get there was only four cartons of juice missing and loads of other items, I sent them an email to tell them, not heard back yet.
What I did get though was in very good condition, and beautifully packed. I've already scoffed a packet of peanuts. My OH attacked the popcorn got him 2 tubs that will keep him going for a while.
Will keep you posted how I get on with all the missing stuff.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Has anyone noticed that when you checkout, the price of the items sometimes increases?
A lot of my items that were supposed to be 99p increased to £1 at checkout. One item went from £1.49 to £1.53. All sorts of strange things.
I could email them, but it does seem a bit tight fisted, but we are all ordering to try and save money.
I wonder if its a glitch in the system?

I think we all feel a bit tight asking them about the odd 20p, but they are always really pleasant and helpful (especially Andrea at the moment).0

Just looked at my invoice thingy and you are absolutely right - how odd!
I never noticed that when it arrived! :money:0 -
I've also noticed this and was reasoning the same way as you, but it is annoying as I'd certainly tell a supermarket if I was consistently being overcharged on several items.
I've been ordering the seafood sauce cases at 99p but they just go through for £1.17 each time. Not such a problem but when it's happening on a few items in each order and then you place several orders (I've placed around 5 in the last couple of weeks) then it starts to add up.
I love appproved foods but I wish they'd sort their system and iron out the glitches. It does gets embarrassing keep asking for refunds (and that's without my mentioning to them about the overcharges) and I've still not checked to see if they've sorted out my latest refund request on missing items.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Interesting that prices should be mentioned. I thought there was something odd about my first order but forgot.
Order total £24.96 at Approved foods.
Googlecheckout total £25.00
Someone has had 6p from me !!
It definitely changed at the googlecheckout bit.
Seems silly to make a fuss about 6p but as mentioned if I was standing at a supermarket checkout I'd say something.
Someone could be making a fortune with all those lost pennies here and there!Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -
I had my second order yesterday, had 2 lucky boxes - one was great, had tuc biscuits, bottle of coke, 2 bottles of orange juice, bottle of blueberry juice, ice pops, chocolates and something else I can't remember, the other one had 3 packets of crisps and 2 boxes of the apricot paste for cheese so that one was a bit disappointing.
On a lighter note, I ordered 2 packs of the mini croissants and according to the delivery note they retail at £107.00 a pack normally - (hmm, is that including the flight to paris lol)
Overall have been really pleased although my first order I ordered the cartons of UHT milk to use as a back up, next day I needed to it for a coffee and it curdled!, couldn't risk keeping it just as a back up so I had to chuck it - was only 59p but still a shame.0
