Diary of a broken gambler

I would have thought, from what I read here, you are unlikely to have the car taken off you. So pleased that GA is helping you. From what I know, although daunting, your experience on Wednesday will be a lot less harrowing than you think.
Btw, do you visit Gamcare, Gambling Therapy or Safe Harbor? All online support sites.0 -
I visted Gamcare. I spoke to one of the online helpteam there. Which if anyone reads this with a gambling problem is a really good way to start addressing the issue. They made me a appointment with a chap. I went to it however it was 35 miles from home, so couldn't go on a regular basis. I found a GA meeting a little closer and now attend that.
Lots of help online for people, those sites and this one are a godsend0 -
I am still a regular member of those sites but have been clean for years. I know folk who attend for whom gambling is also years away. It`s good to stay connected and if in a small way we can support then we will.0

Well tomorrow is the day!
Very very nervous at the moment. Have a bit of a stressful week. My little car is in for his MOT today, Bankruptcy tomorrow, 13 week JSA interview at the jobcentre on Thursday!
And they do say trouble comes in 3's!
As I say I am nervous but I do now realise this is the only way for me to progess with life. Debt has robbed me of my 20's with the worry and now at 31 I want to take control again0 -
Good luck for tomorrow Amiga. Make sure you come back and tell us all about it. Will be thinking of you.

Last update before the deed is done!
Just checked and rechecked my forms all seems ok
Bit of bad news today, Car failed MOT needs £300 worth of work doing
Still trying to stay postive for tomorrow. In less than 12 hours I will be debt free!0 -
You will be fine buddy. Thinking of you.0

Hope all goes well tomorrow Amiga, will be thinking of you. As others have already said it's the fear and uncertainty about tomorrow that's worse, if my recent experience is anything to go by the actual day in court will be easy as pie, if anything perhaps a bit of an anti-climax.
Be sure to let us know how you get on, gl0 -
