If our circumstances change you tell the OR. He can not tell your where or who to live with. I changes jobs after bc and took a lowered, unstableone...not to escape an IPA but or my own sanity. Just do what you need to do to get you in the right place to start to live again amigo. Dx

If you get a job make sure you come on here and put up your SoA again and someone can check it for you as some things may increase ie: travel.

  • Hi Amiga, take heart, all is not lost and it DOES get better. I've suffered anxiety, depression etc and sometimes sharing a house with other people can make things worse/put you under pressure when you don't feel up to putting on a front. I'm sure if your OR kicked up a stink about you getting a studio your mental health worker would write a letter for you. On the other hand, sometimes having people around may also give you a little boost in order to get your life back on track without sinking too far into the depths. Will subscribe to your thread and if I can help then just shout. MissC

    Hello all

Thanks you again for the help, sorry if I don't reply right away sometimes I steer clear of the board simply as the word Bankrupt fills me with dread. This doesn't mean I am not truely gratful for all your kind help and words

I have yet another question sadly!

In my Assets section on the BR Form I put my old car which is worth around 600 pounds

However I did buy a computer in 2008 for 800 pounds. Am I better to declare this? I want to be 100% upfront and honest however would much rather lose the car than the computer!

wouldnt bother declaring the PC (they'll have NO interest) you'll have to declare the car & see what happens with that

Asset wise usually the OR's not interested if things are worth less than £1000 at auction...cars however are a different matter

I've read through with interest your posts & I apologise for not having input till now...been worried you were ok so very glad to see you back

Thank you, I have read on here that people don't declare stuff like televisions, computers and the like unless of course they are worth a lot of cash. Just wanted to make sure I was doing the correct thing

I don't mind if they take my car, although I would then have to stop going to my GA meetings as they are 20 miles away! Much rather have the computer to look for a job, stay in contact with my family overseas etc etc

Your not always guaranteed to keep a car....BUT if you put a case to the receiver as to why you'd need to keep I cant see them objecting (they may ask if a relative could purchase the car back from them for an ammount IF they decide its an asset) at the end of the day it costs the OR to arrange collection of cars selling on etc etc so if they can save cash they will do

If I was your OR I would allow you to keep a £600 car to enable you to go to your GA meetings.

    Hello again,

Sorry for the lengthy time on a update, have been spending a few days with my Grandparents on the other side of the country in an attempt to chill out a little bit. I have a date at last! 19th August at 9.30 so expect some scared postings up until then!
