Hey all
I'm new to this lark - I would like to sell a few cds but have no idea what price to sell them at. Do I just look at the used listings and guage from there....it's just one cd I looked at was priced from £1.98 to £15.99. Obviously I would like the full wack but that is not realistic.....would I just go for around for say £2.50? I don't think the instructions on the Amazon site are very clear.
Thanks in advance

I always try to gauge the minimum price to actually cover postage and packing costs after the Amazon fees. These work out quite high on CDs because the postage cost is only £1.24 to start with and Amazon still take off the 80-odd pence selling fees plus vat and final value fees.
I find it quite hard to make money selling CDs to be honest, unless they are quite rare albums/singles. Don't forget that some sellers will be pro-sellers who don't have to pay the 80 pence per item fee, so can afford to sell the item at less.
£2.50 should cover the cost of P+P (after fees) but won't leave you with much in the way of 'profit'. Having said that, the cheapest that I have sold a CD for in the past was £1.50. Barely covered the cost of sending it and the buyer left a 3 out of 5 rating! Wish I hadn't bothered! :rolleyes:0 -

I just copy and paste the packing slip that is on the bottom of the 'Sold Dispatch' email that Amazon automatically send.
You could print out the whole email but I copy and paste into a word document and then print, as this uses less ink!0 -

Hi
I am currently on maternity leave and have taken the opportunity to clear out the loft and cupboards of all my books gathering dust and see if I can sell them on Amazon. However, I have a huge pile of books in very good condition (read once) but they are listed on Amazon as 'New' for 1 pence  On some of them Amazon have them for sale themselves for between £5 and £20. Some of them are also quite heavy and I would make a loss on the postage if I sold for 1p. OK, I have come accross a few at between £10 and £25 but don't know if they will sell.
I can't get my head around why people are selling brand new books for 1p - why are they driving the prices down? You can actually see them start at the Amazon price and then gradually undercut until they reach 1p.
I am puzzled and a bit disappointed as I cannot bear listing them all on e-bay as it takes so long - and baby only sleeps for half an hour at a time in the day about 3 times a day. Why can't e-bay use the code on the back of the book like they do for DVD'S?!!
My mum gave me a few of her Mills and Boon that I will list for her as they are light and will make a profit on the postage but as for the rest
Is this the end for books????????
If there are any books I want in the future I think I will check out Amazon first incase they are 1p as I usually go to WHS and pay the full price - at least I have learnt that.

It's a bit long-winded but here goes...
If you click on your Seller Account then 'Search Your Marketplace Orders', change the settings to last 7 days for example and then click on the order ID. There is then the option to 'Print Delivery Label and Packing List!0 -
