selling your stuff on Amazon...part four...

Hey there guys - loving reading all your amazon experiences!
It saved my life when I first got here (moved from oz a little while back). I was living on my sister's floor and was waiting a few weeks to see if a job came through. With my sales from amazon (books and dvds picked up on the cheap at clearance) I was just managing to scrape by but then two things happened:
1. My cluey sister suggested doing a drive by university colleges nearby the weekend before semester wrapped. The bargain textbooks had me eating out for the first time since I got here ;-)
2. I got my act together with clicks-for-cash and now I scrape up around 25-30 extra quid a week while I check how my amazon stuff is going (takes 20min - pm me for my guide on it if you like). This has come in particularly handy as my amazon sales have dropped off a little of late.
Anyway, cheers. I'm thrilled with it so far because the prices on ebay for books in oz were dire and there's no such thing as amazon.com.au!£10 a day in January Challenge - £766.57/£310£10 a day in December Challenge - £256.58/£310 :j0 -
Hello ozzy (can I shorten it?) nice to hear that cast off uni books treated you to a meal out!
I've never got into the clicks for cash stuff, I've tried but I got so bored but you are making a lot of dosh out of it so it's serving you very well0 -
Hey there apprentice!
Shorten away!
Clicks for cash stuff isn't for everyone. It took me a good few weeks to make it worthwhile sorting through all the crap ones and minimising the time spent. Got it down to a fine art. And there's nothing better than checking up on Amazon sales knowing you've got a good thing going in another window!
BTW we've been talking about what the best individual sale was that anyone made, but how about the biggest one week/month haul of cash?
Me: Week: 268 Month: 370. Massive! My Uni texts paying off, mostly!
Ignore the question if you guys have covered it - just a newbie getting all excited to have met like-minded amazonians!£10 a day in January Challenge - £766.57/£310£10 a day in December Challenge - £256.58/£310 :j0 -
ozzy - it looks like you've stunned us all into silence, those are amazing figures!0

Have sold four books between yesterday and today. Unfortunately, I am laid up with a really bad cold and haven't managed to post them yet.
I've got my first international sale as well. One book off to the Netherlands.0 -
Woohoo, sold my first book yesterday! Even made some profit on the p&p, so altogether have made a whopping profit of £5.12!
For a book that's been sitting on my shelf and gathering dust since uni, I'm very very happy. Am looking forward to more sales, you guys are right, I am hooked!
And, in the absence of the thanks button, another big thank-you to AT for answering everyone's questions! :A0 -
Not been a bad week for me - continuing to sell a book every 2-3 days.
I've decided to have a big clear out and try to find some fresh stock, so I've made up two boxes of books which have been hanging around for a while, and will take them to the local second hand bookshop tomorrow to offload them. Then I shall hit the car boot sales with a vengeance!0 -
:j thanks AT and soolin and everyone else. Can i join the amazon club? What number can i have and how do i put it into my sig. best wishes to allAmazon No:170

You need to go to your USER CP and then choose edit signature. But you'll need to flick back a few pages to see what numbers we'd got up to. I think it's about 12Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

As a newbie, can someone advise me as to what sort of books sell well on Amazon.
Thanks0
