Just wondering what other sellers do when they go on holiday.I'm going away for a couple of weeks in June and was wondering if I should delete all my listings and put them back on when I get back, seems a bit of a hassle.
Well done on your sale noodlebutty (sounds like student grub to me...) no need to cancel your listings you can 'freeze' them.
Go to your sellers account page and you'll see on the left a list of links, there's a holiday settings link, it can take up to 36 hours to come into effect but can be much less.0 -

It is amazing how much some things will sell for on Amazon though, I remember a while ago I sold a copy of the Libertines first album (Special edition with a really rubbish DVD) for £26.99, I had paid £8.99 for it and didn't like it
I also remember buying some WWF dvds that WHSmith were clearing out as they had been deleted (due to changing their name to WWE) for 99p each, and when I was clearing stuff out a few months later they sold for about £70 all together (for 4)Titch0 -
Just caught up with this thread and I might have some helpful l advice which would be nice to pay you all back for the advice you've given me.
When I started I "borrowed" a few jiffy bags from work but as things began to pick up I felt very guilty and my OH's suggestion I asked if I could buy some jiffy bags off the company. They said no as as there was not facility to take my money BUT I could buy from thier stationary supplier using thier discount for cash.
Ended up with 100 paperback/video size jiffy type bags for just under £13. That is 13p each delivered!
So ask at work is my advice or PM me if you'd like some of my spare ones I'd be happy to pass them on to other MSE'ers at cost plus postage.0 -

Yes they do & sometimes for a little more than I would think, I've sold either 4 or 5 for about £5 each on Amazon over the last month (Children's videos). It costs around £1.50 to post 2nd class, thought that might help you price them up.2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0 -

the 99p shop does 12 video sizes jiffy bags (size D) for 99p, that's just under 8 1/2p each. Well worth looking to see if you have a local branch near you.

where does the thanks button go when you need it
Thanks Soolin, I've just realised my envelopes weigh far too much and are the difference on the lighter books between 2 different levels of postage!! I'll be off to the Poundland, guess they'll be a £1 there, but I'm not complaining!!!

Slightly off topic, I know, but having been inspired to sell some of my many books, by this site, I listed several and yesterday had a sale. All well and good so far. As I was going out this afternoon I thought rather than go to the main post office in town I'd use a local one which is almost opposite the polling station I was headed for. Am completely astounded to find it was closed for lunch. The rest of the shop was open and beyond the pulled down blinds, I could clearly see 2 people. Of course they must have a lunch, but does it need to be a full hour, could they not stagger their breaks, why close at a busy time of day? Now I understand why so many small post offices are closing down. Unbelievable. Good job they don't own a chippy. One half of the world cannot understand the pleasures of the other0

I posted a video on Tuesday first class and it cost me 99p, today I posted the same video ( had 2) with a jiffy bag out of the same pack..in a different PO, first class and it cost me £1.11
Am I being thick?! Why would they differ?! Got another video to post tomorrow so Im going back to the cheaper PO, it may not be much difference, but those pennies add up!£2.00 Coin Savers Club - £72.00 :j :j
