Hi Kat, wow that sounds like quite a mission 2000 books. What sort of books have you bought - are they used or remaindered or........ ? Good luck with it all sounds like an exciting undertaking. :j0

I just checked my sellers account - secure in the knowledge that I was the lowest price seller still!
But when I checked out books individually - other sellers had lowered their prices but it was not showing on my account that I was no longer the lowest priced seller!
Is this just a hiccup or do I have to check each book individually each week?"This site is addictive!"

elona, was it the american sellers that have listed lower than you?0
-
elona, it will be because you are the lowest in that condition so there could be 3 or 4 sellers all thinking that they are the lowest, 1 in acceptable, 1 in good, 1 in like new etc....so the only real way to check is to click on each book and check them through, occasionally you might find that you can put the price up by a pound or so if there's a big gap between you and the next highest, checking them out doesn't always mean less money for your book.0

Jolaaled - I have actually given up on greenmetropolis as I hardly sell anything and out of ten or less books I have sold in months , one complained about the condition saying it was only acceptable when it was a brand new copy, and one claimed it hadn't arrived (when actually it was a small thin pamphlet/book and not as the title would have suggested so i personally think they just didn't like it and tried for their money back).
That compares to hundreds sold on amazon in the last 2 years with only a few probs - it just isn't worth the hassle for a couple of pounds - the buyers are obviously far fussier. I have myself bought books listed on there as acceptable which I would rate as very good so it's obviously not just me having issues with the condition listing. I would under rate them if I were listing again as it makes no difference - as they are sold in order of listing, no choice on condition is available - you either buy it as listed or not.0 -
Yeeeeeeeeeeehaw I am one happy woman. Not only have we adopted two cats who moved in tonight but I sold my first book :j :j :j :j
Not a massive profit - about £5 on a 39p charity shop book but its a good start. Thanks to everyone for their advice and encouragment. Wouldn't have done it otherwise :T :grouphug: :A
