Only found this thread on the weekend. As someone who loves EBay, I can't believe I didn't think about Amazon. A big thanks to apprentice - I listed 10 books yesterday and just sold my first one!!

    Thanks again :O)

I've sold eight books/cds, got a first payment, yet not one has left feedback yet :-(
  • I still only got 1 feedback so I wouldn't worry too much about it yet.

  • I've been away this afternoon, there's been lots of posts! mixed as always, it tough luck over the less than perfect feedbacks - hard lines over the pending sales too, don't forget that they will need re-listing if they don't sell eventually.
Claudie, welcome to the thread :hello: , I'm a confirmed ebay nut too but I can work them both in side by side.

Purple, a £60 CD - is it gold plated, wrapped in the finest gossamer and delivered by hand on a kid leather cushion?

Well, I treated him to a brand new jiffy rather than recycled - and I splashed out on special delivery, but that's as special as it got! :p

    Hello everyone,

been reading this thread for a while and finally got round to putting lots of books on Amazon but so far no good. maybe the famous have a winge factor will kick in and some will sell........ Wanted to ask advice about one of my books. Its a paperback from 1993 which I got for a course I was doing, cost about £19 at the time. There are no new copies on Amazon but 2 used ones which are up for almost £70. I looked in Abebooks & Bookfinder but the same 2 listings are only ones there. Seems like loads of money to me for a not very remarkable book. Do you think its out of print or is there anywhere else I can look to get the price of a new copy - seems to much to charge for what it is?????
  • Hi teapot, feel free to have a whinge, it seems to work!

Your course book seems to be quite an old book. Do you know if it's been replaced by later editions? if so I'm wondering if the £70 is a bit of a flyer (you do see the silliest prices for some very plain and ordinary books) and they will never sell for that price.

I'd list it anyway at maybe around £50 ish but be prepared to drop it at intervals
