Sarah - I'm so glad I'm not the only one with a mountain of washing on my dryer! (I assumed that's why they have nice flat tops lol)

Went to Argos this morning to pick up my (distant) Dad's presents for the boys - easier if he sends money and I shop! Then noticed very nearly flat tyre so had to go to petrol station, of course nearest one's air was Out Of Order  so had to go back down A22 to find another one, where I then struggled for about 10 minutes filling up my tyres and cannot believe no body offered to help - I am VERY pregnant looking, you'd think the staff would send someone out!

Went to my parents' this afternoon to drop of other Dad's b'day pressie, it's Friday but I will be at the kids' xmas preschool thing.
Managed to leave boys with them for half an hour so I could nip to boots and got myself some new makeup and the GWP with leftover xmas money from my "distant" Dad so think I will go play with that in a minute.

Gutted when I got home to a delivery note saying I was out when my new xmas boots (purple suede knee highs, flat!) arrived so will have to go pick them up tomorrow so can try on then wrap up

Now need to wrap the presents I got today, plus a few extra ones I got for OH.
Wrote cards and got addresses yesterday off MIL, really need to post them...

Forgot one card, for OH's half brother, have to get his address now too...

Trying hard to resist byuing everyone more pressies, problem with getting them all early is I keep seeing more stuff!

All ready to despatch on Sunday, just leaving a little present wrapping for next week while watching a film I think

    Xmas Saver!
Bit of a hetic day - started wrapping the xmas prezzies, dad bless him!! tried to be helpful and get the prezzies out of the sheds and the bedrooms, but he got them all mixed up, so instead of doing the bags with the allocated prezzies and then wrapping the top ups it was the other way round.

Started at 11am, had 30 mins out for tea, and hr for dentist and hairdressers - thats another story! and by 9pm, it looked like a bombs hit it...... so give up and start again 2mor.

Good news - the dentist visit, apparently Id chipped a tooth, and didn't know, after the hassle with my old dentist, my new dentist was worried why I hadn't asked for an appointment.... didn't know. Had a little filling, and all now ok.]
Best bit dd asked had I got the chipped piece of tooth, as we could put it under her pillow and the tooth fairy could leave some money, as it would be her pillow, she'd have half the money..... a female junior Alan Sugar!!

DD had her check up, shes got 1 woobly tooth at the top, he reckons it be out by xmas......so she asked does the tooth fairy bring more money if it comes out xmas day.

Then took DD to hairdressers, and I was meant to go tomorrow but she was quiet and did mine as well, £14 for both of us, then go Fri to another hairdressers, naughty but money saving, for highlights

DD has got her xmas tree up in her room, its about 2ft high in Pink (was only £1 from Poundland), shes got silver and lilac bubbles, silver/pink tinsle and some little pine cones, then the box its on, she put some lilac tinsle on, get ours up at the weekend..... can't wait.

Had a nice suprise, the assisgnment I put in Sat ngt, got it back with 72%, brilliant, considering I babbled on and lost the plot.

Got the tickets for the Orient Express, and they've given us a table for 2, they don't guarentee a table for 2, unless you pay an extra £40.

My Boots Order ready, order the FCUK bags (1 for me, 1 for mates xmas prezzie) and a few extras for xmas - going to collect that 2mor.

    Everything going ok......xx

Hi everyone havent been on for a bit as stayed at Dad's at the weekend to help sort out his rooms ready for the family coming down Boxing day. He had his first injection yesterday and must say he was sounding a lot brighter yesterday evening when I spoke to him. Still havent heard from the hospital about the next appointment but should get the letter one day this week.

As for Xmas pressies I have given out a few already, meeting ExMil this morning as she wants me to go up town with her so she can buy my Xmas pressie. I have hers already, I knitted her a bed jacket earlier in the year (much earlier lol).

3 of the Grandchildren's quilts are finished and the last one is well on the way so should be done one day this week, they will be the last ones to wrap up as everything else is done.

Daughter was getting ready for school this morning (its freezing down in Kent this morning) and has realised she left her school trousers round my other daughters house. She has been wearing her skirt all week. Went to get a clean pair of tights and found a hole in one leg so was panicking about what to wear. Luckily I had bought her some tights for her Xmas stocking so she has had an early present.

    Catch you all later xx

Well ladies, can I just add my thanks to all the others already on the thread. It's been a great year getting to know you all, doing the challenges, and generally getting myself organised.

All my cards have been handed out and posted, all the presents are wrapped and ready to be delivered, my decorations are up and I'm enjoying being able to go out for Christmas meals etc without worrying about what I've got left to do.

mum2one - congrats on the assignment. cdsmiler, I'm keeping everything crossed baby arrives soon, and ragz, here's hoping the pain can be kept at bay and that people who don't help pregnant women fill up their tyres are given coal by Father Christmas for not being nice!.

Here's to a very happy Christmas for us all.

    Only 9 sleeps to go!!!

    Em x

    Hello all :j
Just killing bit of time before we go off for hospital appt. Managed to bring it forward to 3.30pm instead of 4.30pm =OH was worried about the dire weather we were forecast that so far hasn't happened but just our luck...........if there's going to be any freezing going on it'll be at that time when we're on our way back. If it'd been a brighter day we were going into the town where the hospital is for a bit of retail therapy but its no joy when the weather's so cold and damp -not good for OH.
Poodled about in the garden and found a terracotta pot that should be ok for my 'twig tree'...........now looking at the branch OH brought in for me............not sure its going to look much good when I've done.............still, I can only try.............

mum2one -well done on your assignment :T
Do you keep a diary ? If you don't then you should..........your posts always make me chuckle:rotfl:

rufus - glad to hear your dad sounding better........fingers crossed for it to carry on that way.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Hi there,

i haven't posted on hear for a while now, my son started playschool so i have been dealing with settling him in, since september me and my son have had six colds, coughs etc each, i have had the normal flu jab (which always gives me side effects), my third hepatitis b jab (i work in a hospital)-this also gives me side effects and on saturday i had the swine flu jab (due to kidney problems) and surprise surprise more side effects. And now my son has a tummy bug, so im bound toget that to. During this time my husband and daughter have been fine (touch wood).
Back to christmas prep, i reached my target, i have all presents wrapped and none to buy except my dads, we are going totake him to goodwood in may when the horse racing starts but you cant get tickets until january, apart from that i am done.
i am now focusing on completing surveys, especially lightspeed and valued opinions, so i can get a good start for the new year ahead.

Can you all send positive vibes to my neice, she is 17 just, and her waters broke today, its not an ideal situation at her age, but she made her bed and decided its what she wants. I think she is very scared from what family have said, but no turning back now, she is just on her way to the hospital as i write, i dont think she realises what shes let herself in for, but she will soon.

Oh Lauren, good luck to your niece. She will soon know what its all about wont she.

May-op thanks for the good wishes for my Dad, my Sil is bringing him over to my house tomorrow afternoon for a couple of hours which will be nice and will break the week up.

Well was up the town earlier and we had a few flakes of snow, looked lovely with all the Christmas decs in the windows of the shops. It didnt settle but we have been told we will probably get some over night so hoping the roads are clear for tomorrow.

ExMil bought me a nice cardigan from Bon Marche which I wills ave and wear over the holiday. She bought daughter a Robert Patterson annual too which she will love to bits. I wrapped that for her and put it under the tree for Christmas day.

Anyway off to warm myself up, catch you all later xx
