MaryOp - Your dresser sounds lovely (wish I had one to decorate lol), very country cottage :)

CDsmiler - I was a week late with both my sons so know how you feel, very impatient lol. I read that the pineapple thing only works if you eat about 15 of them in one go - which would more than likely just give you tummy ache!

My pain has eased a bit this afternoon, partly due to the cocodamol the doctor prescribed!

OH is cooking dinner tonight, chili - hope it isn't too hot. (If so I'll send you some Cdsmiler!)

Lol thanks ragz! Just had left over spicy meatballs we made last night, so hoping that'll help. Although like the pineapple thing, it's all a bit of a myth too!

Trying to keep occupied. Got to find things to do so I don't go mad!!

No more cleaning for me! Been getting awful pevlic pain for weeks and today was so bad I can hardly walk, Midwife says it's SPD and is referring me to Physio after xmas but not much I can do about it really. Supposed to rest, which with 2 toddlers (who have a sick bug today!) is not really possible.

Hoping today is just a bad day as I won't be able to do much xmas day if I'm like this!

Hope both littleuns are ok, hope u don't think I'm being cheeky, but get the midwife to put in about the SPD into your notes, they can keep an eye on you better then.

Good luck with the physio, do try to rest as much as you can, I know its easier said than done xx

Here is my To Do list (it is quite long! I like to leave some stuff 'til December so I feel festive!):

    • Wrap presents for parents and partner
    • Dish out Christmas cards to work & neighbours
    • Retrieve presents from loft to dish out to people
    • Wrap bosses Christmas present and give it to him this week
    • Buy stockings :o
    • Buy stocking fillers (half done) - this was an 11th hour decision to make them :rotfl:
    • Sort out the list of Christmas clothes and mark all social events on calendar
    • Pick bathroom tiles before everywhere shuts down for Christmas :rotfl:
    • Sort drawers and shelves in preparation for the big man bringing me lots of presents (Santa not fianc!!!)
    • Make cards for the in-laws and my parents :o (think they are done but definitely haven't written them)
Gosh I'm more behind than I thought! I'm sure there are more things too!:rotfl:

Argh, have had a bit of a stomach bug and been pulling extra shifts for more money on Christmas ve (payday)
Asda shop arrives today with Christmas goodies and am going to book couriers tonight or tomorrow to pick up pressies and just need to post my dads. (Is my first year posting stuff, should really have done it earlier eeek!)
Tree is looking quite sad- kitten has been a bit too excited by it, and I have given up fixing it all the time but will perk it up come Christmas Eve.

Just trying to find my freeview remote so I can sort out all the stuff I want to record :)
  • Hi all,

Everyone sounds like they're doing really well. ragz try and rest, know it's not easy, but hope you can sneak a bit in somewhere. Clare, hope that baby comes soon!!!

I am doing OK - have slipped a bit over past couple of days as doing a bit of extra babysitting for my sister who's been unwell, and sorting out hubby who's going away tomorrow for a week (boo hoo - but it's work so money). meant to be going to work xmas do tonight, but not really in the mood - list of many things still to be done whirring in my head and would really like to be nearly there by the weekend... BUT I know I'll have a great time once I get there, and also a free dinner:D.

Want to say a huge THANKS to everyone on this thread, it has made such a difference to me this year, and I will be with you from the start in 2010. Sending lots of festive cheer to everyone!

Hello all :j Looks like you've all been busy.............well at last I got the tree up and all the other decs. Tooks nearly all day untangling lights, hanging them on tree, working out what other decs. go where..............still, done now and even OH likes it............lol
Even got around to making couple of cards.........one for girl who does my hoovering and one for young lad who we used to foster.
Thinking about his pressie...........might have a go at a door hanger for him...........have to be thick card but it should work and its a case of using what I've got. Only have Thursday to do it as we're at hospital tomorrow.
Keep everything crossed for us...........we're hoping the weather isn't too bad -appt not till 4.30pm so we're hoping it doesn't turn icy on the roads.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
