These last few days will now be giving the house a mini spring clean and getting the housework in order so i can have a few days off over Christmas and try to get away with the bare minimum housework
Also going to make few freezers meals as well this week (Lasagnes, Shepherds Pies etc etc) so i can grab one of those out instead of having to cook everyday.
Hope everyone else is excited as i am :rotfl:
I've been doing mini spring clean too - also hoping to get some meals in the freezer, but not sure I'll have the space with all the xmas dinner in there! Oooh isn't it lovely to be organised! :jJune Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

No more cleaning for me! Been getting awful pevlic pain for weeks and today was so bad I can hardly walk, Midwife says it's SPD and is referring me to Physio after xmas but not much I can do about it really. Supposed to rest, which with 2 toddlers (who have a sick bug today!) is not really possible.
Hoping today is just a bad day as I won't be able to do much xmas day if I'm like this!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Hello all :j
ragz - rest as much as you can.......the cleaning can wait and you're health is more important
Well, I've put some bits and pieces on our old pine dresser including the hearts and stars I made.........could have done with making it a bit longer -maybe I'll do some more next year.
Little 'soft trees' are in place along with the little flower pots with fircones in . Where there's a gap that looks like it needs to look a bit more 'festive' I've popped a nice Christmas card or two........or three, maybe four...........lol
I've got an angel with very long legs sat on the top with metal santa and rudolph(poundland buys) and a snowman with dangle legs couple of shelves down........two 'primitive' hearts with multicolour ribbon hanging from them and a small dangly santa.........hope all this makes sense..............oh and a bowl of christmas balls painted gold and some pot pourri. Next will be the front room..............and the tree  Always dread doing that for some reason................lol
Can you believe just doing that dressers taken me till now  I must have spent too much time sitting and thinking..................lolI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Since Saturday night (hospital's due date for me!) I've had bad hip pain too. So I feel for you!! Fingers crossed this baby comes out soon. Been eating a fresh pineapple a day, 4 cups of raspberry leaf tea a day, and semi spicy food! Very impatient now as all Christmas stuff done, all baby stuff done, all house cleaning done.....just waiting on baby now! (Oh and can't do snowman poop til last minute anyway. lol)
I'd like to echo everyone else in saying a big thank you to all the regular posters on this thread as you really have not only kept this thread alive, but influenced me on lots of little ideas for Christmas! Big thank you!!

Dead quick one - and I've just posted it on the 'declutter' thread, but as we're such an organised lot here too, thought you might like today's Bangzo freebie - well - £2.65 postage -

I just realized tonight i am totally stuck on what to get my dad for Christmas .
So far he has a banana man t shirt which i know for a fact he will love.
I also got him so really soft antibacterial coke (nice looking) socks. Might add some lynx (if can get it for a good price) as he loves lynx.
Some stella (again if its on a good enough offer) his favorite drink.
Some dorito's (his fave food)
Some after shave (he has asked for)
Some jeans and maybe a shirt... i am so stuck.
Cant wait until the 23rd when i can finish everything and everyone and deliver the goods lol xNanMias - cyber granddaughter!

MaryOp - Your dresser sounds lovely (wish I had one to decorate lol), very country cottage
CDsmiler - I was a week late with both my sons so know how you feel, very impatient lol. I read that the pineapple thing only works if you eat about 15 of them in one go - which would more than likely just give you tummy ache!
My pain has eased a bit this afternoon, partly due to the cocodamol the doctor prescribed!
OH is cooking dinner tonight, chili - hope it isn't too hot. (If so I'll send you some Cdsmiler!)June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

ragz - glad you're a bit better.
Wouldn't you know I looked on the crafty for christmas thread(think that was the one) and found some links for super hearts and stuff ..........have bookmarked for next year and going to have a really good go at them.
Another slight dilemma (sort of) -boy we fostered (up until this year when I was in hospital and he was moved) rang tonight. He's coming to see us on Friday and he used to have hours of fun helping me 'create' pots of gold and stuff .........I feel I'd like to concoct something for him but whatever can I give to a 13 yr old who's seen most of the bits and pieces I've done before.
The only thing I can think of is the 'Ball of Life'.........he was a lad who often got 'stressed out' and at one stage took a tennis ball from school in order to have his own 'ball of life'.............maybe thats the answer.........do him one of them if I can't think of anything else.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
