Had a bargain this afternoon, I have finally used my Virgin voucher £50 from when the Qype offer was on last year, so thought I'd get some wine as the vouchers weren't fetching brillaint money on ebay, got that sent off + credited, but went through another link from NUS and as a student I get £20.00 free credit.... so I have got 12 bottles of mixed wine comeing for grand sum £8.77 (had to pay £6.99 postage!).
I've done my duty for the pta fayre and wrapped 60 presents for the lucky dip, and now being very good and doing - rather attempting my OU assignment, comparing the marketing strategies of a doctors surgery with Bmibaby.. "compare and contrast".......doh... one ur ill, the other you fly with.... think thats worth 100% !!
Ony got to be in by midngt, and still got half to do.........slowly disappears... to return later xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hello all and huge thankyou to mum2one and jamtart for superb threads:T I've not been a poster on the Thrifty Money Making one as I dont really understand the money making part -bit of a numpty on that score but I save where and when I can.
Well, after much panic getting little grandsons card done foster daughter rang to ask if I'd mind putting off 'santa run' to grandchildren and my son to next weekend as she's been in bed with a virus. Like I'd mind ! Most important thing is that she gets well. She's feeling much better than she did but still not sleeping much and with the fog thats forecast tomorrow driving 200 miles there and back to my sons doesn't sound like a safe bet to me and I'd rather she was was well enough to enjoy the trip.
So........I can relax a bit and maybe.........just maybe.....get around to tidying up my 'den'.........lol
(Lost count how many times I've said that...........lol):rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Finally losing the panicky feeling that I've had the last couple of weeks about stuff not being done- got most of my dads scrapbook done, just need to print off the photos tomorrow, get a nice photoframe to round off my grans present and then dvd and popcorn (maybe a fleece too) for my cousin and her OH for their night-in kit. Have boxes ready to be carted off to the post office on monday once filled and not too much to wrap. OH's mum is going to her mums for christmas so don't need to post presents for that side of the family now.
woooo to christmas0 -
OH just totally craked me up - he's trying on the long johns his mum bought him and complained that the "flap" is too far off to the side and that he'd never be able to get "himself" out of it - especially in cold weather! ROTFL
Sent off Christmas presents todaly, just need to get addresses for the cards for OH's side of family off his Mum so I can send those.
OH has seen a CD he wants so got that to get now, ordered myself two pairs of boots yesterday (hoping they fit) as my main pressie - also OH is getting us something but it's a bit naughty...
Started cooking xmas dinner yesterday cos we had no heating and the oven warms the house up a treat! So parsnips and stuffing balls now in the oven.
Wrote out the dinner menu, managed to bring myself to delegate a few dishes to my Mum...
Nearly fainted when I checked bank balance at cash machine today - +£53 !!!!!!!
So used to seeing minus several thousand lol - it's only looking so good because I just got my maternity grant through and housing benefit just went in, rent doesn't go out for another few days... but was a lovely feeling while it lasts!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Thank you. I've just cracked up laughing, esp as I'm close to throwing the computer out of the window.
